Honestly it depends on the girl.

A girl I know that's long distance hit me up about 3 months ago and I blatantly ignored her dms(she lives like 3 hours away) But I decided to hit her up just yesterday. Now we have plans to meet up and get down to business this weekend. So it just depends.

If you realize that they are no longer interested just move on. Plenty more women out here.

Edit: And btw she's coming to me, I'm not going to her. lmao

If you take too long yes. If you just got each other's numbers, I would wait like 2-3 days before texting. It's a perfect balance between not being too long, but long enough to make her think about you

Girls will rarely actively chase someone outside of a few short follow up texts.

One exception is that she has BPD but this is someone who you do not want pursuing you.

The bigger the impact you had on her "feels", the better and longer she'll keep you in mind.

Example: Let's say you're out at a club and you approach a random girl and talk for 20 minutes but don't physically get very far with her. Her friends call her over and she says that they're going to another place. You ask for her number, she gives it, and you part ways.

Now, let's say you're at the same club and approach the same girl but this time you ask her to dance. They play a song that you've been practicing for a few months in your dancing class and tell her to follow your lead. Everyone notices you and the DJ announces a dance battle with couples. You guys win. You get her number and go home because you have an important meeting in the morning.

Now, let's say in both scenarios you wait 3 days to text her. Which scenario do you think she'll be more excited for? She probably won't even reply to the first scenario but for the second one she'll be ready to go out with you again whenever you say.
