Cancelling every once in a while is fine. Things turn up in life. It happens.

Instead, what you pay attention to is patterns. Even if she has a string of verified and good excuses, if she can't prioritize you enough to meet, then you soft-next her. If at some future time, she'd like to get fucked again, then so be it.

Hard nexts should be used very rarely. They are only for women who show actually crazy behavior, or somehow become permanently un-fuckable (Did she get mangled in a car accident? Did she balloon up to 350lbs in three months?). You do NOT hard-next when your flimsy ego takes a hit.

Did she apologize and offer an alternative? And is it the first time something like this happened? If yes, let it slide for once.

If she didn't apologize, or didn't offer an alternative, or it's happened more than just this one time, I'd say soft next for a couple of days.

Let her initiate for some time. Give more attention to, and spend more time with other plates.

I'm the same way, wasting time is a huge turn off and irritating moreso than other undesirable traits alot of the time. Unfortunately it's trial and error in getting to see if you've got a flakey time waster on your hands; I'd agree with some of the other posts, soft next, if it's a hit and miss game with this one then that's why it's best to have multiple options, if she's a good lay but only shows up half the time it's fine just hit up another til she comes around again, clearly only plate material anyways.

I would hard next if it’s a second offense, otherwise tell her she has to make up for it. Have a different plate over next
