ADD/ADHD and relationships

ADD here.

Thought i had it for years, got diagnosed 6 months ago, starting to medicate next month.

It impacted my relationships in a huge way that is beyond the grasp of people who dont have the dissorder. ( relationships with women and friends )

My ADD keeps me very selfcentered closed off, i cant deal with many people talking or people asking me to do stuff. When this happens i tend to lash out and become aggressive in my speech.

And regarding relationships with women, it gets tricky. Due to this overload of info im recieving in normallife i tend to get frustrated and aggresive, therefore giving off an asshole "badboy" vibe i guess.

When women get to know me 1 on 1 i get calm and very relaxed. They see a different side of me, but assoon we step out in public or go to a cinema or whatever, i get that overload again and cant seem to keep my head in the game and stay with the activity we are doing right there and then.

Its like im 2 different persons. That generally people seem to this dislike that. ( edit = grammar )

To be honest, not really. Though I'm not in a long term relationship so maybe someone else can speak to that.

Medication allowed me to hold down a job, and with an actual career now I'm choosing to build it rather than waste time on women. Once I'm at my sexual market value peak (35-45) I'll probably start vetting for that, but right now it's secondary.

Other chemicals have more of an effect on my sexual relationships (making me unable to orgasm for example), but not the prescribed meds.

No, but i did indeed had help with a depression that when I was only 16. People with ADD tend to be in their head more often and we are the kings of procastination. Like you said it is hard to do things right away and keep a tight schedule. People in my studies that i find less "smart" or thoughfull as me still pass me in grades and studying.

It all comes down to just putting the work in, it frustrates me that a 19yr old snowflake girly girl with the IQ of about a 95 is better thab me when it comes down to sitting down and picking up a book. But it is what it is.

We have to work 150% harder than everyone else, but thats no excuse to not do if.

Diagnosed ADHD, don't take the amphetamine salts anymore, makes me feel like garbage physically. I do miss the effect it has on my focus(I am not working right now, rather browsing Reddit). To be honest I've never even thought about its effect on my relationships with women. So I am going to say it has no effect.

Doesn’t really have any effect on my relationships with women. The stimulants can, though.

What I feel like would have changed the situations I was in with women is letting them know about my ADD earlier on but they never stuck around long enough for me to even get to that point.

I can cure anyone with add/adhd in 3 months. I was diagnosed with it myself and fed that poison they call medicine for over a year. (Vyvanse)

Problem is, yes, i can 100% cure you from your ”disorder”. But you wont have the discipline to follow my steps i tell you to do, so its pointless. Ill tell you the steps if you promise to 100% follow them.

I cured myself and have zero ADD now and on zero medications. No its not individual. I can actually cure you. Dont bother asking for how or for the rest of the steps unless youre willing to agree to the first step, remove internet and smartphone from your life for 3 months. No discipline for even the first step? Ok, then youre not interested in getting cured.
