I see 2 possible cases here:

1) She told you about it, because she doesn‘t fancy the guy and does not want to take a risk by keeping this from you.—> Best case scenario

2) She‘s shittesting you by applying dread.

If it was the latter, I think your reaction in the moment was good so it‘s still game on, but you got to keep your cool now.

Do not issue an ultimatum like „he or me“. Do not mateguard. Apply some dread yourself if you can.

Problem is, she‘s a plate only so you cannot really blame her if she goes ahead and bangs the other guy. Dis you at least dangle the possibility of a LTR in front of her at some point?
