If this was a platonic friend I would say great cool enjoy life. But for a date this is kind of cringe, nothing wrong with enjoying conversation but you’ve got to make a move. I mean the tone of the date should be somewhat sexual even if you don’t kiss. Not all is loss though just make sure you pay attention on the next one.

Yes, OP is inexperienced, shy and needs some advice, which is why he asked. It may seem like a dumb question to most, but everyone is at different stages of their TRP journey.

OP, it’s awesome that you had a good time with the girl. If she really was laughing, smiling, and enjoying herself, those are IOI’s (indication of interests) and it means she at least has some attraction towards you (not to mention she went out with you alone to a park). It’s neither good nor bad that you didn’t rush making a move, but do keep in mind that the longer you wait to make a move, the more the window of opportunity closes as well as her interest towards you will lessen. She’s shy and you’re probably shy as well.

Set up another date with her. This time I challenge you to make a move physically with her. Doesn’t mean you gotta stick your tongue down her throat, but something little like touching her back, her arm, or even holding hands while you walk around the park is a good way to physically escalate.

I’ll use the park as an example. Walk with her in the park and when you find a good place to sit and smoke, change your direction and guide her towards the direction of the bench, “hey let’s go smoke over here”. Putting your hand on the small of her back and guiding her is a very easy way to break the touch barrier and gauge her reaction towards you. If you get a good response, continue with your escalation. Once you have broken the touch barrier and escalated, going in for the kiss will feel a lot more natural and smooth.
