I never really got into TRP. I was introduced to it from the PUA world, where I do have a long history, but I found TRP disgusting from day one. However, this does not mean I am giving feminism a free pass. I see a lot of guys flip from one side to the other. I can't see why I'd support either.

What I see are gender-hate movements that take different forms. I think it's extremely important to recognize these and any kind of religion / group think and defend your mind. I say this to any feminist reading this (I know there's a lot on this reddit).

TRP is a more unmasked, darker version of the modern feminist communities i've witnessed. Just as Red Pill prescribes awful AWALT stereotypes, so too did that acronym first come into being as AMALT; to where it became a derogatory meme when some guy tries to point out on Jezebel "Excuse me, miss...It's not good to say all men are rapists" and is met by instant scorn. Just like when a woman tries to cautiously point out to bands of misogynists on TRP that not every woman is after a man's money.

I've discovered campus book burnings by gender studies classes targeted at Christina Hoff-Summers simply because she criticizes some aspects of the feminist narrative. This is no different then when someone on /r/theredpill suggests a revision on some part of the narrative, ie: "Dread Game" is an abusive shitty thing to do to any girlfriend, and is immediately banned.

Feminists: "either you agree with extreme rape laws and agree with us that manspreading is male hatred to women or you're a MISOGYNIST!"

TRP: "Either you're for dread game, using dark triad principles, and being and alpha bad-ass or you are a beta pussy / white knight / etc"

Both feminist extremists and TRP are born from the same thing: broken hearts. Someone gets hurt in a relationship, and then they become vindictive to the entire gender.

The truth is that love can be brutal. You have to work hard to be unattached and relaxed about whatever happens. I've been rejected before in the hardest ways you can imagine. These days, I let it roll off my shoulders. The trick is to just see it as a game, and not take anything personally that happens to you. If you play football you're going to get scratched. It's not a big deal. Laugh about it.

So, I know the response I'm going to get is "You don't understand what feminism is about, it's about equality, and supporting feminism means it helps men, too."

I can't buy this argument. To me, it's just like when a TRPer says "You don't understand the men's movement. It's about becoming your best self, understanding relationships and succeeding at life."

It's easy to say this, but to understand where a movement or community stands, inspect what is allowed by the hard-liners before the mainstream says anything about it. I don't see feminists ever calling out the more extreme things that get said or conjured on places like Tumblr, and when they do, what happens? They get their books burned at campus rallies!!

A hate movement is a hate movement. It would take a lot to convince me to date a feminist, just as I'd warn any woman to stay as far away from a TRPer as she possibly can.
