I’m 30 years old, have no intention of ever having kids, and have had a couple pregnancy scares in the past. Hearing horror stories on here and from my friends of accidental pregnancies have convinced me to strongly consider a vasectomy.

I live in the USA which unfortunately treats men very different from women, and although all female birth control/abortions are required by law (Affordable Care Act) to be covered by insurance, men birth control isn’t covered so it will cost me roughly $1000 out of pocket for the operation.

Curious to hear from those who had the operation since I’m trying to evaluate the pros/cons.
