Agree with the message completely, but it's funny,
In short... stop. being. so. fucking. serious...
The culture here is so serious that even the advice to not be serious is given in a sort of serious way. "You want to turn your life around and be good with women, maggot? Stop being so fucking serious". OP, you did a good job with this post, but at the same time it seems silly to be so serious and straight-forward about telling people to be less serious.
The solution, I think, is to shift the focus from "be less serious" to "be more fun and silly". Affirm what you wan't to be rather than what you don't want to be. My plate and I decided today that all of the world's problems could be solved through silliness. This was accompanied by her doing silly wiggles in the supermarket line. It was fucking hilarious.
Girls love to have fun and be silly and not take things too seriously. Seriously, it's one of the nicest things about them. They remind us how to have a good time and relax into the present moment.
Of course, while this logic and approach has definitely landed me awesome experiences with awesome girls, I'm seeing my motivation for success dwindling. If I can have so much fun in the present moment, why should I reach for big monetary success?
I was being silly and fun, at first, to attract girls and share my good times with them. But now I'm having such good times, I don't see the point of all my serious manly exploits. Help?

Simple explanation (for why we're serious with one another): we're not women and the "fun" approach doesn't work the same to motivate us.
Edit: get more male friends who have their shit together. With enough cash you can ride In a helicopter with a monkey. Use monetary exploits to pursue fun fancies.

You've hit the nail on the head with this. Why do you think this is? My immediate thought is that our biological programming has us more concerned with avoiding pain (serious, important pursuit) and women's has them more concerned with pursuing pleasure (less serious, but still an important pursuit in terms of maximizing life happiness).
Perhaps together these tendencies work together to help the human species avoid pain and experience pleasure in life... Perhaps men and women are biologically programmed such that when put in the same action-sphere, they are naturally supportive of a higher quality experience of life. If our lizards are trying to get us to fuck each other, then making life better when we're together would certainly seem a logical approach...

My money is that it's cultural. Women never had to grow past the fun seeking stage... Their lives are free of consequences (pussy-passes abound). They can wish it all away, have their white-nights and beta-orbiters cater to their every whim. They are basically children, and seek fun like children do.
As RP men, we understand the harsh realities of the world and communicate to each other as such.
To verify, we'd need to look at how women behave where the pussy-pass culture hasn't gotten to them.
An alternative theory is that it IS indeed biological, and that women's baby-making hormones create the NEED for men to 'cheer them up' via fun. It's why a sense of humor makes every "qualities I want in a man" list and why A+A is so effective.
As being of testosterone, men are more logical and don't NEED entertainment to deal with reality.

Obviously trying to get rich to get women is not the correct motivation. No one is denying that it helps.
That said, freedom is the big motivator for me. Running my own company and being financially free is a very good feeling. There is nothing like knowing that you have achieved and built something from scratch and you are 100% responsible for your own success. Being self reliant and taking responsibility for your success in every area are the hallmarks of quality human being, man or woman.

Nothing new here, Gentlemen - the woman is the most responsible teenager in the house.

While this concept is certainly true from a "life is a very serious thing" perspective, I think that life isn't actually that serious (we all poop. we all die. best to enjoy it while we're here), and that women have something valuable to add in their natural tendency towards being children-like.
Didn't Jesus, one prophet of many, say that we should view the world as children do?

This is why learning from comedians is so beneficial. They're able to make serious, heavy topics seem funny and lighthearted. With that kind of attitude, you can have the benefits of being both serious and fun at the same time, or at least, not get too caught up in always being just one or the other.

Yup. Another great point. Male comedians are something that guys can relate to. "Being silly" as I described above, isn't really what comes naturally to guys. It's really an effeminate thing. Sometimes it's fun to play around in that sphere of being silly, but in terms of being centered in your masculine self, "being funny" is a masculine way of not being so serious.
Learning to laugh at life, at others, at yourself, is a great way to remove the "bite" out of one's perspective of life.
I know that part of my growth from intellectual geek to hugely attractive man involved the forced watching of comedy routines.
I used to think, "these shows are rubbish. yeah they're sort of funny, but they're not helping me accomplish anything". I was so focused on accomplishments, that I didn't realize the pinnacle accomplishment of life is to enjoy it, and that being able to enjoy comedy is an important part of that.
Thanks Ninja-5 for the reminder.

Why was this post removed? Thought it was a decent post, was going to bookmark it
Hold frame, be attractive, keep your boundaries but for fucks sake relax and have fun. Don't be a boring fuck around women, but don't be a supplicating little turd either. Just have fun with them.
Yeah I thought that as well. Oh well... can't always please the gods around here :-/
