I work construction and am dead tired on the train rides home. I'll never forget a few year back the train was packed and me and my workmate were sitting across a landwhale that LITERALLY occupied two seats when she points to a pregnant woman we hadn't even noticed and goes "can you guys get up, this lady is pregnant" with a bitchy attitude.
[–]FatherOfStupidity4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Did you?
[–]PollutionRealistic6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I really hope he pointed out the fact that the landwhale was occupying 2 seats to her face and didnt budge from his seat
[–]RedEyeBlackEye13 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My reply:(points back at obese bitch) "better let her sit on your lap ."

Oh I fucking went off, don't worry. Something like "listen love, I just worked 10 hours straight and still have an hour and a half to get home. Judging by your fancy clothes and make up I'd guess you haven't done much today, and seeing as your fat ass is taking up two seats maybe you should get up for her yourself".
Then some old man next to her started white knighting and screaming at me to get up. I think we stayed for a couple more stops (where our destination was). It was awkward staying there for 10 minutes while you feel everyone giving you hateful looks.
[–]PliskinFemto2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nope. Fuck her.

No he was NTA. There is no law that requires anyone to give up their seat to anyone. I don't know, the pregnant lady didn't know, the other bus riders didn't know his physical condition. Hell, his family wouldn't know. People can assume what they want, think poorly of him, but he needed to sit at that particular time. He doesn't have to explain himself to anyone.

actually in my country there is a law, but only on priority seating, but if you dont give up the seat, you are up for a massive fine.... then again, i live in melbourne Australia

Well, I think I forgot to say, that if it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to give a pregnant lady a seat. 10 hours on my feet or not. That's what I would do - he didn't and he's got that right (unless it is an actual rule).

Given we live in an equality society, any claims to chivalry are moot. Chivalry and equality are mutually exclusive, after all.
"Next time f@@k someone who owns a car".

''She should've fucked someone with a car'' :D
Does anyone remember that meme?
[–]liaizon3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly what went through my head lmao
[–]Shimakaze422 points23 points24 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I thought women are strong for being able to have a baby. As we say, feminism killed chivalry, enjoy your equality ladies. If it really is that bad standing up for a while while pregnant, either fuck someone with a car next time or use yours to drive to work for a couple of months.

In Brazil there are seats identified and reserved by law, for pregnants, very old people and very obese. You could deny your seat is there is any "reserved" empty, but if is not some white knights could appear from everywhere.

When you expect the benevolence of others, expect to be disappointed. lol

I could be wrong, but being pregnant doesn't mean you can't stand.
In tribal times, pregnant women had to walk for hours while migrating, probably had to run away from danger at times too.
[–]aad79906 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why didnt anyone else get up?
[–]ineedabettercar4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He is not an asshole. A women is not entitled to your seat, she can go fuck herself tho.
[–]mimetist3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I would give up my seat.
I understand the lady. If she can't have her legs closed, we can assume that she may not be capable to keep them straight.

Here's the deal. Giving up your seat for a pregnant woman or someone who you think needs it more than you, such as an elderly individual is an act of good will and kindness, NOT an obligation.
I feel like the line between kind act and obligation has become so blurred to the point that pregnant women think they are entitled to seats on public transport. Surprise! No you're not. Get a cab, or stand like the rest of those unfortunate enough to not get a seat.

I used to be that guy. Now? Fuck that. Being a jizz receptacle doesn’t entitle you to jack shit.

I'll get up when I reach my stop. Until then, shut your fuckin mouth unless you're offering me a blowjob.
[–]ChadLadPronouns0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women are not special for letting some chad cum in them. They wanted equality, and I say we give it to them. I don't view a pregnant woman any differently than I would any other normal man. Equality. I am a true feminist.
