I kind of agree but I don't think Ramsey is a beta.

[–]Barrebaron 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup, he's more of a psycho.

[–]2cold2hold2hot2handl 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he's the embodiment of a "Black Knight"

[–]yummysauce-2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

I respect your opinion. To me he is. He feel the need to torchure a broken man to show he is better. he needs ratification from his father. He is not "hot" and "muscular". He looses frame when his girl gets jealous over his marriage and has to comfort her. maybe it is just the way i see it. How do you view him?

As you probably guessed, i make this example more for the general jist of it all.

[–]Jigsus 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's a manipulator. Every step he takes is part of his plan to get himself ahead and it's working well for him.

He looses frame when his girl gets jealous over his marriage and has to comfort her.

Nothing in that is genuine. The man is a psycho manipulating her.

I think its more of play things. Ramsay sees everything as a toy.

[–]WAFC 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He looses frame when his girl gets jealous over his marriage and has to comfort her.

No he doesn't, he manipulates her into continuing to be his personal whore despite her jealousy. She even works for him by intimidating Sansa early into submission (though she also tries to kill Sansa out of jealousy...bitches be crazy after all).

He is the darkest of dark triads. He tortured the son of a great lord because to him people are playthings, just look at how he hunts down the girls he is tired of. He is not Drogo jacked but he is not in bad shape. Hence why he was able to fight off the best ironborn warriors without a shirt. https://38.media.tumblr.com/ab92cb50c0f2aeb4fc18812a633f6b4e/tumblr_inline_npglvhGu4t1skx1cn_500.gif

Ramsey is not beta. He is a fucking psycho, deep dark triad, creepy (in a mentally sick way), but he is definitely not beta (not with women anyways, he's probably a little beta towards his father and his bastard status).

Don't forget his girlfriend, the one taking Sansa to the kennels, the crazy eyes bitch, she was totally in love with Ramsey.

I think SJW are so offended by the rape scene because it's high profile (Sansa is the good innocent princess), because Ramsey is creepy, and because season 5 of GoT is much more popular than season 1, when Drogo did his thing. Oh, and let's not forget that in end, Dani falls in love with Drogo, so any prior sexual roughness is forgiven (he's been tamed).

There have been multiple rapes in Game of Thrones over the years, but none of them gained the media attention that Sansa's rape did.

It's no coincidence that things like Sansa's rape, the portrayal of women in video games, campus rape, etc. have all been in the news so much over the last few months. The mainstream media is pushing the "war against women" narrative because they want to see Hillary get elected in 2016.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Kind of true, but Ramsey portrayed as a dick, whereas Khal Drogo is dark and mysterious. Really it's more the literary technique they used than the actual scene, which is why we say don't judge relations from works of fiction.

Personally I was sad about Drogo rape scene, because in the book he specifically doesn't rape Dani, to show how he's different from all the other horselords.

[–]ConcealingFate 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is true. He actually is quite gentle compared to how he is portrayed in the show and she reciprocate a lot more in the book as well.

[–]zpatriarchy 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

sansa was not raped by any definition of the word.

[–]Throway99038 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Although i do agree with one point if Ramsey wasn't so creepy looking compared to Drogo's brooding mysterious muscular representation there won't be that much outrage.

But Ramsay is anything but Beta. He may do it in a sadistic manner, but he knows how to command others. He broke Theon, even his women are deadly faithful to him. Ramsay is beyond Beta and Alpha, those concepts apply to normal human beings. He is a straight out psychopath and a master manipulator.

Btw people who didn't read the books Drogo never raped Danerys. He was extremely tender, only became intimate with Danerys when she made the first move. But GoT creators decided to make him an all out brute to give Dany a better character development.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's literally totally wrong.

Like chapter 3 of the first book, he takes her out to a rock overlooking the ocean and takes care of business. Later on they fall in love.

and I think the last line of the chapter is "it was her fourteenth birthday"

[–]WAFC 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You should read it again. He's very tender with her and she consents before there is any penetration.

ugly = everything you do is creepy

average poor / average with money = creepy on a fence leaning creepy/not creepy

handsome = creepy is not applicable.

[–]BlaiseDB 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ramsey is a sadistic fuck while Drogo had a code. Ramsey got his position by birth while Drogo claimed his position as the biggest bad ass on the plains. Reverse them and - in the end - it does not matter about your looks (although, looks and muscles and the beard of awesome obviously help.)

[–]Endorsed ContributorDenswend 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In the books, Ramsay is cowardly porker who can only do damage to prisoners who can't fight back.

In the series, Ramsay is kinda hot, takes out heavy metal vikings shirtless with his dogs, destroys a opposing king's camp (seriously, how the hell did he find supplies?) with TWENTY GOOD MEN, and has a woman (Miranda) who worships him.

Series Ramsay is being Draco Malfoy'ed to appeal to tumblr girls who sorted themselves in Slytheryn back in the 7th grade.

And it's working.

EDIT : And Khal Drogo didn't rape Danerys in the books. He was gentle and understanding.

First post on here. Cheers for the eye opener gents.

Welcome to reality, bro. Read the sidebar, start lifting and try to soak up as much as possible before you jump in and start posting. A good rule of thumb is the ability to quickly and easily explain the majority of topics we cover here (ASD, DHV, SMV, The Wall, AMOGing behaviour, Shit and Comfort tests etc) to yourself as you read them in the daily posts more experienced members make. Once you can do that, you might have something to offer.

Look, the reason posts about 'RP media' (ie this one) are frowned upon is because there are plenty of worthwhile examples of RP theory that happen in real life.

This is a low-quality post and the mods will probably delete it. However, if you don't apply the thread format requirements (top of sidebar), they will definitely remove it.
