It's the Attention Paradox. She's interested in attractive guys who don't much care about her or give her much attention. She's NOT interested in guys who do give her attention and try to chase her. I knew a girl just like this once. The act of giving her lots of attention turns her off, because then she has the upper hand, she "wins," you aren't a challenge anymore. She wants to be with a guy who she feels has better options than her, she wants to be with a man who can do a good deal better than her but chooses her to be with. Social proof and all that.

Sounds like a literal teenager here, or at least I hope so. If she is indeed a teenager, this attitude will not necessarily go away when she gets older, as maturity does not automatically increase with age. The need to have an "overwhelming feeling of YASSS" from a guy for her to be interested tells me that she is turning down guys who would be reasonably suitable for her. Guys are criticized all the time for apparently only wanting supermodels (an accusation that is generally false), but I do not see the same for girls when it comes to their expectations.

The patriarchy is maligned because it constrained women's choices and forced them to: 1. Avoid slutting it up like the town bicycle before they were married and 2. Settle down with a man who had the power to control them when they got out of line.

This was not "oppression." This was necessary for a functioning society.

Take away male power to constrain the insane choices of women and you get our current dystopia. You get women becoming insane sluts while young and desperately unhappy while older.

TLDR: The patriarchy was to benefit women and now...enjoy the decline.
