You’d think that being an all-around awesome person would make it easier to find a great guy to be with, but the opposite is often true.

But instead of doing everything they can to make you fall in love with them, a lot of guys won’t even make the effort to ask you out.

If you're a hot chick, the men who approach you already know they're close to your league, or they're simply drunk. You don't want the guys who don't approach you to actually approach you as if you might accept their advances, you want all their attention and validation. They don't approach because they know the score, and that score won't change by throwing rejection cannon fodder at you, it will do nothing but blow your massive ego even more out of proportion.

Truly awesome women are often a mixture of a lot of things, and the result can be a bit overwhelming for some guys. It’s like when you combine a bunch of colored beams of light and end up with something blindingly white, and honestly, even a lot of great men can’t handle that kind of brilliance.

If I asked you "what do you bring to the table in a relationship," I'm certain your answers would fall laughably short of anything worthwhile. Can you imagine if I walked around telling people “I’m an awesome person” and be completely serious about it, without kidding or being sarcastic? Even if I believed I was one, how pathetic would I have to be to go around telling people about it? There’s a difference between self esteem and a diseased overinflated ego.

One thing I have noticed as a flaw in my own personality is my huge fucking ego, and it’s literally the cause of most of my problems in day to day affairs.
