Interesting hobbies to get into as a teenager?

Just recently got into woodworking/furniture building/carpentry. Great using maths, engineering and ingenuity to create things. Also teaching yourself to garden fosters responsibility; planning and discipline; plus nothing beats fresh food.

Personally, I:

Workout.
Make music (boom bap; sampling records), play an instrument (guitar).
Skateboard.
Go fishing, shooting, camping.
Art. Mostly graffiti or stencil stuff.
Read. I'm loving Stoic pieces at the moment.

You should do a good mixture of things that stimulate you mentally and physically.

Something with your hands, repair, build things.

Repairing old film cameras, you can usually find for less than $10 at garage sales.

Take woodshop, carpentry skills will be invaluable when you have to make repairs adjustments to things in your home, such as baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting/chair rails, bannisters, cabinet leveling.

Building / construction (forgot what high schools call it) bus a class where you learn basic plumbing, drywall repair, replacing/installing light switches/plugs, copper tubing (though now they might teach PEX tubing)

Auto mechanic/body shop basic car maintenance and if you take it for a few years you'll get to rebuild an engine, and some major body work.

Can't go wrong with coding, at a bare minimum you could learn to automate things like changing wallpaper automatically daily. Backing up you hard drive(s) to the cloud, backing up your preferences to the cloud or GitHub/lab.

Since no one is saying it: anything that involves public speaking: debate club, Model united nations, hell even toastmasters if you can find a chapter

doesn't matter what you end up doing for a job its going to have a large impact on your life

Learning a musical instrument/creating music using a DAW/music theory/starting a band

Writing - novels, social sciences

Racing simulators

Learning about the world in general. Watch any Joe Rogan podcast and look at articles on Wikipedia, some of the shit I read up on: gorillas, savant syndrome, live streaming crimes, submarines, cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, intrusive thoughts

History of artists, scientists, musicians etc.

Hunting, camping, being with nature

Martial arts

Learning a language

Philosophy
