Unless he lives in his own place (not with his parents) then having this woman come over for his birthday "gathering" is a dumb idea. Tell your friend that having your friends over for your birthday at 20 years old is already childish and not a good look if you're trying to pick up an older woman. She's going to see it as a kid's birthday party regardless of how you want to word it. If he lives alone, then he can make it a more adult event that this woman can feel comfortable at, however, I still advise against it because there's no way that the other guests (19/20 year olds) aren't going to ruin it and make it an immature event.
