Question is, in my view, does The Red Pill also extend to this situation?

Women and Children First has always been a myth.

Well, strike that. MY women and children will make it onto the lifeboat. After that I'm also going to be on board and if a white knight takes exception to it, I intended to... well, to be blunt, I'll kill him. Flat-out.

As a husband and father, it is my duty to protect and provide for those under my care. Those that interfere with that do so at their own peril.

It's bad that this happened, and this whole situation could have been handled better to avoid death. This event was chaotic and probably not a lot would make this sexist one way or the other.

A lot of events like this has everyone acting SELFISHLY thinking of saving themselves. The result is inefficiency and loss of resources. People die. Some men, some women, and even some children.

What makes this blue pill and sexist is the RESPONSE. This writer is doing their best to victimize this poor defenseless woman who should have been given some expendable man's seat on the lifeboat. In this context you can actually see the hamster at work.

So much for women and children first?!?

No you sexist pig... What happened to that sentiment TWO PARAGRAPHS AGO when a kid and her father were left off the lifeboat and died?

Many women try to hide behind 'women and kids'. I've seen this a lot. I'm all for letting kids go first, and the 'women and kids' is very engrained in culture so they think it can slip by.

Sexist is a derogatory term for treating men and women differently. But men and women are very different which may suggest that they should be treated differently.

One who earnestly uses the term "sexist" has swallowed feminist assumptions.

As a matter practicality I can see where the phrase 'Women and children first' would make sense. In a nautical emergency, those more physically fit should ideally help with the evacuation, launching lifeboats, assisting those less fit, etc. On the average, adult men are stronger and more physically adept than women or children. It's not a sexist thing to say, it's just a fact.

So there is some logical sense to it. But perhaps a more modern adaptation of the phrase would be something like, "Smaller and weaker first" and leave gender out of it.

I don't think a man's life is worth any less than that of a woman or a child. Why should a woman or a child get my seat on a lifeboat? It's sexist and ageist to think that those lives are worth more than yours, just because you're what society views as "disposable" in times of emergency. In my opinion, The Red Pill mentality extends into other areas of life.

Men are expandable. Not because "society views" them like that but because of inherent, biological differences between sexes. To think otherwise is akin to believing that beauty is a social construct.
