I think we all know how this one will play out.

They will live happily ever after?
[–]MGMOWNow197815 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Absolutely, no question.

the guy will start importing cocaine through a business with her name on it? possibly insider trading? how about money laundering or hazardous waste dumping? how about its actually a shell company that owns nothing except large debt shifts from his many other LLC's.

Ha. She doesn't realize she's being used to get government contracts and sub contracts by being a woman owned business while she has no clue how to run the business. If she were ever to take it over, it would fold, she'd be stuck with all the long term debts, and the man would just set up shop next door under a new name.
[–]expendablekerosene33 points34 points35 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. She doesn't understand that she just became financially and legally responsible for the actions of this corporation. If this company does something that causes property damage or somebody gets hurt by their actions, guess who's gonna be needing a good lawyer. He's just an employee and can walk away.
Checkmate.

LLC are limited liability unless you sign you personally guarantee the the debt. Unless creditors can prove fraud then the liability is limited to that of the value of the assets of the company.
[–]expendablekerosene1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agreed, as long as they don't mingle personal and corporate funds. If he's started something like, say, a tree removal service and fells an 80 year-old oak tree on Karen's house, she's fvcked. LLCs will not protect you from negligence.

Banks will always insist on personal guarantees for debt taken on behalf of an LLC or corporation.
Lenders ain't dumb.

Like marriage matters. Depending on the state, because they've been living together for 15 years, she may be able to invoke some cohabitation or common law marriage rule and ask for a good portion of his assets. Plus she's now legally involved in his business.

He should leave the business to her, leave the business legally. Stay unemployed for a while and claim some spend with the kids time, leave her and get minimal cp, then restart business.

That's some next level exit strategy there...

15 years and two kids equals alimony and child support, and possibly lifetime alimony depending on the state, so adding her on an LLC vs getting married, is a throwup, in certain situation depending on how much the LLC generates and how the business functions, putting it all in her name might be the better options especially if its technical based so the specialized labor is by the man, and she becomes responsible for some of the liabilities.

The same class of people who rejected monogamy and traditionalism for hypergamy and feminism STILL think they are entitled to marriage.

I hate bitches that antagonize in other peoples relationships. wtf is she doing with her life? This one is all too common. She’s probably the one to coerce “her friend” for divorce had he married her.

Owning an LLC and not the same as running ,making money with LLC.

He’s a smart guy. This chick justifying a shady ass move made by her fellow woman. Shady, the lot of em

All marriage is to a woman is a promised paycheck upon divorce. That's it. If a woman wants you to marry her, walk away and ghost. She's looking for a paycheck.

Gentleman, this a piece of knowledge gold, because of one word:
FINESSED,
Change all the other details of this story around with replacements or variants with infinite combinations but no matter what the sentence(s) will in some way shape or form contain (either blatantly or in sub-langauge) the verb FINESSED,
Urban Dictionary:
Street word meaning to make a profit off of someone by fooling them to buy something that is low quality or not real. This can be a good thing if your the finesser
Cambridge Dictionary:
to deal with a situation or a person in a skilful and often slightly dishonest way
Every time you give something to a woman, gift it, provide it, their mindset is that they FINESSED it out of you

Getting named as an LLC member is a shitty consolation prize as compared to being a wife. Wife is entitled to half of everything, no questions asked. LLC members are beholden to the membership agreement .

yup
[–]bpdloveoflife1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is all on him. He thinks he is smart enough to dodge one contract just to stick his neck in another.
Or LLC really broke and this is 3d chess.

A single party LLC does not offer any advantages over not having one at all
And honestly if you put a woman on the LLC at 1% it’s a better deal than marriage

My dad did that with his second wife, he actually made her the CEO and he the vice president. Little did she know it was heavily in debt at the time, and he was draining the cash out as fast as he could! Left her holding the bag on a considerable amount of debt, lol. They divorced as soon as the money ran out, and she had to file bankruptcy lol!

At the end of the day, all they are looking for is to somehow exploit your resources. AWALT.

It would be fun if the sign of the contract was all staged with an actor playing the notary.

Its amazing how entitled they are. Shes a hero for (what they think is) stealing money a guy worked hard for. They believe just being with someone means theyre entitled to their cash. Amazing.
