This doesn't apply to the relationship thing, but I tried out for my school baseball team and didn't make the cut. I only played football and could bomb the ball 100 yards but barely throw the baseball a few feet accurately. I liked the sport of baseball so much though I became the manager (water boy and play recorder during games) and still practiced like a player. I trained so hard that I made the team the next year and was even a starter onwards.

But still fuck these hoes bro.

Ignoring the MGTOW philosophy:

Firstly, you shouldn't propose if you aren't really sure what her answer would be.

Second, if at first attempt, you fail, you don't immediately give up. Neither in relationships nor in basketball. Or for that matter, in anything you desire. I never understand this logic. You may reattempt by fixing whatever caused the failure in the first attempt. If you still fail and the issue seems to be unfixable, you give up for your sanity.

First off, why would I come to basketball practice if I’m not on the team? If I was cut and literally not apart of the team, why would I just show up for team practice? Not a good example...

Second, let’s flip the proposal issue around. If a woman asked you to marry her and you said no, do you think she would stay? Would you expect her to?

Why stay? Better yet, why propose to begin with?
