edit - glad I posted this here instead the relationships subreddit which is full of horse shit

This girl (mutual friend) I have known through my best friends girlfriend recently started talking to me after I posted a pic of my gains/shirtless pic on insta a few weeks ago. Knowing she had a boyfriend I toyed with her and never took her seriously for a second. She is very attractive, nothing special. My friends girlfriend got her to come to a football game at my high school - does TRP accept teenagers? Either way, I'm a teenager and I learn a lot from TRP. So she comes to this football game and we talk and she tells me she wants to date me after I bring her to my house. I said sure as a joke knowing she has a boyfriend but then she says "I'm breaking up with (bf) tomorrow." I was sorta shocked but the next day she texts me saying they broke up so I figured I give this girl a shot. This was my first mistake. Why would I pursue a girl who literally just got out of a long term relationship although she was clearly very into me? Fuck it. Next week we have dinner and kiss/cuddle at her house. Progress. Next week is today she doesn't have the balls to tell me in person but texts me this: " This is a really shitty way to do this and I wanted to do it in person but I know I would talk myself out of it so I've made up my mind....I was leaning towards choosing you but then realized that's not the right thing to do....I'm not choosing (ex????) but I'm not choosing you. I feel that the right thing to do is to end things with both of you as much as it hurts that's what I need to do. I'm so sorry to have put you through this and I mean that. I like you so much but it isn't fair if I'm with you and want him or if I'm with him and I want you....I'm so sorry and I wish I didn't have to do that because this hurts me. This sounds like bullshit and I know it's so selfish but I just can't please everyone as much as I wish I could idk where this leaves us but just know that i really care about you and I can't express how sorry I am that I am losing two amazing guys because I couldn't appreciate what was given to me."

Lol, got played mad hard for a few weeks. I am thankful that I was conservative with my emotions which I usually am and I didn't open up totally to her. this was the best thing that could have happened because this would have come up sooner or later I was just too blind to see I was getting played.

tl;dr: Don't date girls who just got out of a relationship
