I'm amazed it's even allowed to exist. No race swaps. No girl power. No straight white male guilt. No man is brought down by a woman who is superior. None of the men were reimagined as wife beating sleazy monsters from the sexist dark ages. No random expositions about race relations in the 60s. Pure drama, action and storytelling. Not one single woke offering to the alter of cringe. How was this greenlit in 2019

You know plenty of women saw this instead of Charlie's Angels. Just the thought of being in a Ford or Ferrari with Christian Bale or Matt Damon definitely gets their motors running and lubricated. And they don't have to watch three pseudo tough butches.

It was a great movie - just a simple story about male friendship, relations of father and a son, and a passion to achieve something deemed impossible against all odds.
Fantastic movie you should definitely watch.
There was some controversy though - the movie had a trailer earlier this year (around the time captan marvel came out) and that trailer focused more on the story of father and son - had mostly clips of them together and less about the racing stuff - and I even linked to this trailer (I think the tittle was also different from Ford v Ferrari, altough I'm not sure it was the title it came out in Europe: Le Mans '66) here on /r/mgtow and that trailer totally vanished from youtube - it got deleted. I was wondering what happened and later this year I found it again as ford v ferrari and it was a trailer more focused on racing and the competition etc. Wonder what happened and why they decided to delete the original trailer ....

Netflix has a great follow-on to this movie called Shelby American. It goes over the history before, during, and after the period portrayed in the movie.
