I was married and it only took a couple of years and everything changed, too.

Basically she decided she was running the show. She had her you go grrrrl girlfriends who treated their husbands like crap and just encouraged her.

I was so fucking lucky. No kids. I was still in school and she was working some BS job. Together we paid the bills but didn't have any assets.

The split was very straightforward.

I hear many years later how much she regrets throwing it all away. Felt good.

I promised myself never again.

Sorry for your situation. Have you seen a lawyer yet? Best start making contingency plans now for what's probably coming. Odds are she is or is being encouraged to.

The main thing that startled me was how quickly all of her promises were forgotten once she got the ring on her finger.

As a SAHM, she was going to “run the house like a business”. The first fucking month she forgot to pay the power bill.

Then it became a series of complaints that I wasn’t doing half of everything around the house, despite the fact that only I was working.

Dude the longer I'm mgtow the more I realize just how insane the modern world and marriage is. How can a man marry nowadays and not see the lunacy? I believe they force it away and are willingly dumb or have this attitude of it won't happen to me.

Took 5yrs for my Ex to show her true colours. A Lazy, fat, unambitious, blood sucking leech who spent most day in bed and yet complained about not having time to do anything. Always banged on about getting a 'better house', 'better car' etc...but never once stepped up and contributed. Had the same crappy low wage for 10yrs...I mean who doesn't at least try and get ahead and improve their situation?

I finally wised up and cut her from my life like the malignant tumor she was and I'm doing 1000% better for it. She on the other hand can't even cook anything beyond oven chips and fish fingers. Regrettably I have kids with her (I'd never regret my kids...only the person I had them with), so I still have to deal with her for another 8yrs. I'm looking forward to the day when my youngest turns 18 and I can finally tell her to get lost, stop all child support and live free.

These women nowadays will never bring their husband dinner or a beer yet think nothing of serving their boss. It's funny because men's roles in society haven't changed yet women's role are considered sexist.

This is a controversial opinion but sex should be available on demand in a marriage. This was considered normal for all of history yet nowadays it's "marital rape". Our ancestors would be shocked beyond belief that their descendents are having "dead bedrooms".

My parents are married for 34 years.

10 years ago was the last time i saw them together on the couch cuddling. That was shortly before my dad's company went bust.

A year ago they started to complain to me how terrible their sex life was. My mom does not want to have sex with my dad anymore because he sort has become a diesel engine.. If you get what i mean.

I rarely see married people kissing and holding each other. Maybe after a short national geographic session in bed, but thats about it.

The Disney land brochure looked so nice, but its a fucking lie. F.

- Realizing too late that none of these married people are happy. They all fake it, endlessly, trying to outdo each other's fakeness.

- Realizing how close a man in marriage is to being a victim of kidnapping/extortion, as my wife said stuff like "do what I want and buy me what I want, or I'll take your kids and you'll never see them."

- I had $50,000 in a retirement account and she called it "our money" and I remembered she hadn't brought anything at all into the marriage. She had no money, and my money was "our money" ... what a joke.

Thank you. The kids is the hardest part because I love them so much. But like you said she calls the shots.

I have done many methods of separation while in the same house. But ultimately she will start nagging at me for something. She totally drains me of wanting to pay any bills or contribute anymore. But the kids.. school is expensive, house is expensive, van is expensive.

I’ve been watching MGTOW videos for a couple years now. And I completely feel like a sucker.

Divorce would mess everything up as well as the kids heads. We don’t fight in front of them, just passive aggressive ( which is not better) I can’t leave my kids. They need a real man with MGTOW knowledge.

I think women enjoy day to day arguing. Men want to be as far away from day to day arguing as possible.

I made $18 an hour, but for years saved and invested and was able to buy is into a bigger house and rent out our previous place. I provided everything we could ever need, while making not a huge salary because I don't go out and party, I read a shit ton, and I invest and save. 15 years in the marriage, she doesn't trust me for shit. Puts zero faith in me. Lost affection for me. Every day I come home, she's asleep on the couch. My kids stare at their phones.

I know how to cook for myself, how to clean and do laundry. There comes the point where you run the numbers and emotional equivalency, asking- what am I getting out of this deal if there is no trust and no affection?
