Well, we don't tend to have mental break-downs over things like this so we don't really require comfort in the same way women do, not to add talking about these things fuels their validation and need for gossip. With that being said, I know I could easily talk to my male-friends about a break-up if I found myself in that situation and I couldn't contain it.

Broke up with ex girlfriend, kicked her out, she bailed over to my friend's house who's wife had a boner for her and I know she talked shit and made shit up.

Now i had known this guy through high school,college, post college, roughly 9 years of friendship. Dead silence for 4 weeks. He then asks if I want to hang out on a weekend, I say yes, he says great the wife is out of town so he's free. Clearly I see what's going on, neither of us contact each other that weekend.

It's been 4 years, we've still haven't spoken.

Soo interesting and true! I just left a male coworker that is always polite, smiles, and has a great work ethic. His ex wife cleans him out for almost 2100 dollars a month in child support. He now lives with his parents in a basement and has a great job but she gets that money... I had no freaking clue he’s been going thru this for two years until I asked today how he was.. Good guy long career.. no clue he was putting up with this crap and pushing through. He’s on medication and doing therapy and was inpatient at one time right after the marriage. Again, no one knew cause he kept it to himself like guys are told to do.
