So this is a throwaway as not many of my friends would approve of me posting here and I’m rather new to the concept of GYOW, however I’ve been lurking for a while and find myself secretly agreeing with a lot of it.

I just wanted to vent about how stupid it is that ‘good looking’ young women are given so much appraisal, attention and ego-boosting for doing nothing more than... posting a selfie. Girls will get hundreds or thousands of likes and dumb comments like ‘omg a queen, we stan a goddess!11!’ just for taking the same generic attention-seeking selfies that are probably edited to fuck anyway.

It seems all women have to do to get basically worshipped is... be pretty. She could be arrogant, rude, a scrounger, any of it, and she’ll still have dozens of other women and deluded men reaffirming just how perfect and beautiful she is regardless. You never see these girls bragging about you know... their actual achievements aside from bragging about a nose job.

It’s really annoying seeing it all over my social media.
