Initial thoughts: You're codependent seeking external validation from her and internet strangers. This should be about your Dad being in the hospital, not trying to seek comfort from her. She is either working or going no contact after the breakup. It sucks. I was there 3 years ago and looking back I say, "thank God I was left alone." On a serious note: I don't know what 'ex of 2 weeks' means. You were dating a girl for 2 weeks or you have been broken up for 2 weeks? If it's the former, yikes..., get a grip. If it's the latter, and you were LTR with this girl, just know that you being vulnerable has probably killed any chance you had with her. Women are...not nice. Don't be shocked by this.

You need to learn how to comfort yourself in even the face of death. A lot of us on here are close to some sort of westernized monk status I'd imagine...you need to move on and love yourself first dude. You are all the comfort you need, a woman's comfort is expensive and fleeting.

If women lack the empathy that men have, and now she has leverage over your need for her, considering that females are vindictive in nature, her not respond makes sense. I don't want to make it about her though. Why don't you become someone who can be the source of comfort for others, and comfort your father by visiting him. This would be a win win for both of you. This is also the part you have control over, your own actions.

It's not gonna be easy and nothing worth it ever is. You just gotta tear off the band-aid though, move on and focus on your dad and yourself. Feel what you're feeling, cry if you have to there's no shame in that but you gotta move on. It is what it is and it sucks but you'll be stronger than you ever thought possible if you can do it.
