Well I was 18 in the late 90's so...

"Buy stock in yahoo, google, amazon, and ebay (to name a few)."

But here's the timeless advice:

"If you're not happy with yourself, you sure as shit won't find happiness by looking for it with someone else."

"Plan for the future by saving today." Live within your means and always budget to put money aside. The only one who will take care of the bills in your old age is you.

"Friends will come and friends will go, The moment a friend stops investing in you (or you stop investing in them), prepare to go your separate ways."

"The less spoken, the better." You may be tempted to share details about your life with people, but don't. You never known when someone may turn on you and use that to your downfall. Keep the cards close to your chest.

"Rage is what will ruin your life." If you're angry, give yourself some time to cool off and vent (take a walk, beat on a punching bag, write a letter to the offending party but don't actually give it to them). Look upon whatever it was that makes you angry after you've taken some time. You may find yourself pitying the object of your rage, or you may just feel indifferent. Either way, you're free. (A lot of MGTOW men in the "red-pill-rage" stage would do well to heed this advice).

Build...Your...Credit. Pay for everyday items and groceries with cash. Ignore credit card reward perks.

Building your credit will save you a shit ton of money down the road and you’ll be able to borrow more money which you use to BUY ASSETS, not liabilities. Even better if they are cash flow assets like real estate.

Think of life as An RPG, and you’re constantly leveling up strength, intelligence, and a variety of skills. Put the kind of effort into figuring out life as other people do video games and social gossip and you will be unstoppable.

Failure is the best teacher, but it doesn’t have to be the only teacher. Failure is a learning experience, not a judgment of your character or your quality as a man, so there isn’t a legitimate reason to be afraid of failure. Fear of failure is cutting yourself off from learning.

So go out and kick life in the ass! You can be somebody. Your image is the expression of your beliefs. Make yourself as glorious as possible. It is your duty to become the best you can be.

Make your first car a 2 year old lease return. You'll save about 50% vs buying a brand new car. After 2 years the car still has that new car smell, and all the recalls are out of the way :)

Never move in with a best friend. Best friends become non-friends after about a year of being roommates :)

Live with your parents? Stay there as long as possible and save. I had to move out so I was paying about $550 at the time to rent, I was also 18. This was years ago and average rent is around $800-$1000

Lets just say you decided to stay and live with your parents until you're 25. You would have $47,000 saved off rent alone. This doesn't include any other expenses like food/bills. This also assumes rent isn't going up during those 7 years which is certainly the case.

Learn a tough hobby such as building a house or a cottage, by yourself. I started with a RC plane, then graduated to a cottage followed by my home. Take frequent pics of your project and refer to them so that you do not get discourage.

Get an old beater, (an old muscle car as an example), and bring it to life.

Travel, travel but avoid tourist areas.

Of course, the above is only applicable if you remain a MGTOW.

Be careful about what you fucking want and always have a long-term vision. Don't be afraid to second-guess yourself because what you think and what you want is, honestly, often pretty retarded or short-sighted and you only notice it too late.

People between 18 and 25 tend to make the most stupid decisions you'll find of all the age groups, because they are "adults" so they can do whatever they want without their parents telling them that [x] is a bad idea or that they shouldn't do [Y], but many but don't have the maturity to judge things in a good way. There's a biological reason for this too, although there is, of course, exceptions just like with anything else.

Having huge objectives is funny and all, but it tends to cause you to lose sight of the present. Things happen one step at a time. And because things are constantly changing, flexibility is one of the most important thing you'll learn. A few setbacks aren't something to be afraid of in the grand scheme of things.

Buy experiences not things. A new watch is not worth as much as camping a weekend with yourself or friends. I found out that I love hiking and camping at a later age. I wish I would’ve know that sooner

Study finance and learn how money moves. Saving is only part of the equation. You’re ultimate goal should be to establish passive income so when the time comes you’ll get paid while doing very little for it. A LOT of millionaires made their money this way and it’s really not that difficult if you take the time to study how it’s done but it will take sacrifice.

Take care of your mental health as well as your physical health. By taking care of both happiness will be easier to achieve.

Keep the debt very low or zero. Burn all the credit card offers. Second, you don't need a Bachelor's degree for anything except medical school.

I learned a lot in college. Overall, I'm happy I went. But $50k was a lot to deal with afterwards. I would have had the exact amount of happiness if I went to automotive trade school. On second thought, I likely would have been happier.

I have a BSBA from a great school. The general education part was great. It fined tuned everything I learned in high school. I had a few spectacular economics and business professors. But I could have leaned 90% of it from my entrepreneur grandfather. Listen to the older men in your life. They will teach you a lot, even when they don't mean to.

Save money, don't buy stupid shit, don't invest in anything until you've learned enough to know what you're doing, don't loan money unless you're prepared to never see it again, focus on something that'll still be earning you a living 20 years from now. The world is changing fast so pay attention. Learning another language or two would also be a good idea. A bachelor's degree will probably still come in handy for quite a while but if you decide to get one, be careful about getting into debt. Spending some time working at a restaurant isn't a bad idea either because it gives you experience in an industry that has a high turnover rate, so you'll have an easy back up plan if you're ever desperate for a job.

Save money like no more will ever be printed again. If you need a car get something reliable that meets your needs and is affordable. Don't go to college if you don't know what to do in life. Figure out a way to make a living that you like doing and are good at. Listen more then you talk and understand no one really cares about your opinion.
