Confession time: I'm definitely part of the problem. When I was a young teenager, I used to use The GIMP to manually retouch the photos of all the less attractive girls to give them better chances at online dating, within a good 35-45 minutes I'd have a complete set of profile pics ready and a very carefully worded profile designed to create LTR opportunities. By the time I left my teenage years I was already going my own way anyway, so karma isn't really going to catch up with me on that one!

I know a woman who does this. She was in the 300lbs+ category for a while, but has recently lost about 100lbs. You can actually see her face now and she's pretty, but still big.

It’s getting worse. In my pump n dump adventures, I’ve been caught a bunch of times being catfished. When I see profiles now, I imagine the real person, I remove filters in my mind and try to see them in real life. All profile pictures of women are faked. All. They fake everything. And they think there’s nothing wrong with turning up in person looking completely different to their profiles. For those still dating, never ever think the photo you’re seeing online is the person you’re going to meet. She’s always going to be worse.

Too many men just believe everything they see on the internet with regards to women.
