1 - Women do not love their husbands, but what they provide. So they demand more of what the husbands provide - one of which is greasy, sugar-laden, salt-filled, junk food non-stop, 24 hours.

2 - Women go through pregnancy and then decide to SAHM herself for life just after having one child using that pregnancy as an excuse even after having delivered the child and rested enough. The female human body is biologically required to be physically active and exercise after pregnancy or else all sorts of health deterioration occur - weight gain being one of those.

3 - They don't really desire their husbands sexually so they don't feel the need to look sexy to appease their husbands. They just starfish sex and spread their legs as they hide themselves under the blanket with the light closed, and if the husband gets turned off by their fatness, then no more starfish sex, then all the better for them.

Because women do not love there husbands, but what they provide. If he was a man that she would love, then he would never marry her. And often would instead beat, rape, abuse and maybe even kill her...which seems unbelievable until you research women's obsession with dark triads (also see classic examples like fifty shades of gray)

And since he no longer has the power to leave, she has no reason to try to please him anymore.

It's not just after marriage these days, many are overweight or obese in their teens and early twenties. I think there are multiple reasons: unhealthy North American diet, eating too often, fat acceptance, sedentary lifestyle, mental health issues, medications like antidepressants, unsuccessful diets and rebounds, poor self esteem, lack of discipline, etc.

Probably because they have kids. Pregnancy does make women gain weight. Also, as one gets older it becomes harder to maintain a healthy body as it becomes easier to gain fat. However, on can easily find married women who are still skinny and fit even when they’re 40 or 50. Sometimes its even the other way around as nowadays more and more women are providing just as much as men are for their family, and so either the man gets fat too from getting older or they are both fit and both working hard. If you look in many economically stable neighborhoods, you can find that both the man and woman are working and earning money.

Not just women, men also gain weight for several reasons

Not in the market anymore, become content with safety and security of a spouse
Metabolism slows down with age and mindset. Hormones are part controlled by mind. So, when men and women settle down they gain weight
Before marriage, appearance is a very important priority. After, kids, family and jobs takes importance.
Men and women are rewarded for looking good before marriage. Later for their kids, wealth and family becomes the reward.
There is a theory "Fatter spouse are safer spouse". A beautiful spouse would elicit suspicion and insecurity.

As people age, their metabolism slows down. If they don't exercise, but continue to consume a high calorie diet, the calories will add up to extra pounds.

Many couples have children after marriage. Women gain weight during pregnancy, which is healthy and normal. Some women may gain more than others. Post pregnancy, the weight doesn't automatically go away. Moms (shit, dads too) can have a difficult time juggling a new baby and a healthy diet because the focus is now all on the baby instead of themselves. Also, women's hormones are out of whack for awhile after giving birth, which can negatively impact weight loss.
