Most of the gentlemen here say it’s only a woman’s fault. But I disagre and think men have a role in this, and here is my point of view. I come from a society where men are still respected (OR as our feminists call it patriarchal), But there is almost no hypergamy. Which is because of MEN’S CHOICES (AKA men have standards). Here are 2 examples: 1/Men marry from their level (financially and socially). So, it’s nearly impossible for a rich man to marry a poor woman no matter how hot she is. He will only marry a girl from a rich family, even if she is not that hot. A tall handsome doctor will marry a tall beautiful female doctor. A hot waitress will only marry a waiter. So, women KNOW that they will never marry above their level (AKA no better options). Hence, they don’t wait and they marry the first guy from their level.

2/ men Never touch a divorced woman, no matter how hot she is. So, women will do everything to stay married because if they got divorced they will be alone forever (vs. divorce their husbands in US for no reason at all to search for a better man).

in both reasons that I have given you, you notice that it is due to men having high standard. I understand wanting to fuck a model, But marrying her and making her your wife and the mother of your kids is a really really stupid decision.

Examples: Matt Damon married a bar tender, Justin Timberlake – a handsome, fit, successful, famous, and rich- married Jessica Biel – a mediocre, not young, 6/10 but has a smoking body- , Zuckerberg was already a billionaire and look how his wife looks. Almost all the actors married mediocre actresses. Also, goes for athletes. If a hot girl knows- just because of her nice ass- that she can get a tall, athletic, and rich man to date her no matter how poor and dumb she is, why would she be with an average joe.

TLDR: if men had standards and married the best women they can, hypergamy would stop.
