So a couple weeks back I thought I'd try Tinder Plus to see whether having a premium account would show me up on more people's profiles.

Before we continue I neither follow nor not follow rules 1 and 2. Physically I'm very average. Neither toned nor fat. Facialy I'm fairly average. Personality wise I can hold a conversation with anyone even a paper bag have plenty of hobbies and I enjoy my work - however personality isn't really what the 21st century adolescent is after. I am originally from the North of England UK and now live and work in the capital, London.

Upon purchasing the premium access I didn't notice a spike in matches, however the addition of 5 super likes per 24hr (was per 12hr) and the "boost" (very much a gimmick and proves they hide your account) which you get every 1 month (was every 7 days), these tools do come in very handy when trying to attract someone's attention.

I started to become suspicious that my account had been hidden to other users or being put to the back of everyone's decks when I was receiving on average 1/2 matches per day and it suddenly dropped to 1/2 per week if lucky. I wasn't overly selective with my swipes but I would not swipe on someone I had no attraction to.

I then began fiddling with the "passport" feature. I'd been swiping away in West London achieving nothing, so I thought I'd spice things up a bit and located myself in Wales. Within seconds I was receiving match after match. Again I tried the theory again and positioned myself in Scotland. I swiped away at 100 or so profiles before I went to sleep - again not being too overly selective but sticking to the same rules as prior - and in the morning I woke up to around 10 matches!! I was shocked! Never have a received so many matches in such a short period. How does this happen? If anyone has anything as to why this happened please share.

I'm still experiencing with dotting myself around the UK and it works wherever I go. No matter how large or small the town/city I choose I get match after match, but when I come back to London.... Nothing!

I have approximately 2 or so weeks left on my premium subscription, if people find this investigation interesting I'll give another couple of updates after some more tests.
