I’m using the term “men” in reference to all of huMANity.

Rather WhOMANity, these days.

Laws change all the time. Why lock yourself into something you won't be grandfathered into?
[–]Adamjensen2030 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
Exactly! Jesus knew all along the female nature unlike Muhammad, Buddha, etc
[–]back2dahfuture9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You claim I'm wrong?
Care to show proof since the burden of proof is on you.
[–]Darth_Toenail6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Nope. You're the one who claimed that Muhammed and Buddha didn't know female nature, the burden is on you. But if you fail at that, then sure, just let me know and I'll grab a few quotes from Google. There's been plenty posted on here already.
[–]Adamjensen2030 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Muhammad slept with Aisha when she was 9.
Buddha married Yasodharā.
They didn't know female nature otherwise they might have avoided relationships/sex/marriages with women to begin with.
Jesus is celibate.
[–]searangex 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think buddha came to understand female nature, and mohammed was just a psycopath

Wow my comments are getting dislikes. Must be Anti-Christian manginas lurking in this group.
[–]verynormalsimple1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There's nothing mangina about being anti-christian, it's just being a rational human that doesn't believe in imaginary friends and that disapproves of a belief system that caused more genocide and murder than the nazi holocaust and stalled the intellectual development of western civilization for ~300 years.
[–]Snakerspug0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup and to add to muhammad he had 11 wives.
Wasn’t Budda an Indian ruler/prince before he went off to do his own thing?
[–]Mindraker13 points14 points15 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Jesus' apostles were all men, and it's possible that most were unmarried and young, if not minors. Jesus was said to be around 30 when he was crucified, after all.

1 Corinthians 7:28 New International Version (NIV)
28 But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.
[–]alienhoopajoop5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Christ was MGTOW and supports MGTOW. Where are the idiot tradcons that conveniently like to forget this fact?
[–]verynormalsimple0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The jesus described in the bible is just a fictional character based on a jewish preacher by that name. There's not enough evidence to claim that about the historical Jesus, some believe he had a relationship with Mary Magdalene, some don't, it's uncertain.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Jesus being the son of God has access the to most beautiful angels in heaven, why would he waste his time with a STD ridden earthling whore?
[–]Inkfyuk1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Angel's dont marry or have sex. Not to mention Angel's are referred to as sons of God, not sons and daughters of God.
[–]blississolitude2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link
Come on, this is dumb. First, this wasn't Jesus, it was Paul. Next, it is taken completely out of context. In-context, this is advice for virgins during a time of Roman persecution against Christians.:
1 Corinthians 7:25–28:
"The State of Virginity" Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord, yet I give an opinion, as one having obtained mercy from the Lord to be trustworthy. I think, then, that this is good on account of the present distress — that it is good for a man to remain as he is. Are thou bound to a wife? Do not seek to be freed. Art thou freed from a wife? Do not seek a wife. But if thou takest a wife, thou hast not sinned. And if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet such will have tribulation of the flesh. But I spare you that.
I mean, it's just a silly old book, but at least get it right.
[–]Mindraker3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
taken completely out of context
WHAT?! A Bible quote taken out of context? Never.
[–]dravenaus2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
“Just a silly old book”.
A silly old book that created our modern society basically.
Plus Paul followed Jesus and was called by him to his service, so this follows the creed.
Eventually some men can’t live without women, hence the verse.
At least get it right.
[–]shema_echad20 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Influenced. Definitely didn't create it. And it's 66 or 73 books. Or even 81 according to some.
Allegedly. Paul's gospel is different from Jesus'.
[–]verynormalsimple-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
To get it right you would need to be able to read and interpret it in it's original language, which is next to impossible nowadays, because it has been tampered with for hundreds of years and because no one today is native in Old Aramaic.

Too many atheists in Mgtow, yuck!
[–]Snakerspug1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Yuck". Yeah, I wonder why.
[–]Mchooofer-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[–]gigasimpdeluxe1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Considering he's about as real as Santa, does it really matter?
[–]dravenaus0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
No, he wasn't.
[–]Mchooofer0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Read the gospels
[–]dravenaus0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I have, and I believe I know what you’re referring to. The time when Jesus tested the faith of blind men by ignoring them for a bit or whenever he became physical.
[–]manbearpiglord3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Can’t argue with Jesus
[–]verynormalsimple0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
I find it very ironic that people claiming they're going "their own way" also proselytize about beliefs that were forced on them by a church that teaches the only true path is being a tradcon, and then they feel "rebellious" by having their own interpretations of a book already rewritten, mistranslated and misinterpreted for centuries by said church/political organization.
[–]gigasimpdeluxe2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Hilarious that this is getting downvoted.
There's a lot of ex-tradcons on MGTOW that, might have renounced to women, but still can't let go the imaginary friends they were forced upon when kids. Jesus might have existed (I'll give them that) but to think the story told by the bible is even close to what really happened, when it's absolutely obvious that is pure religious syncretism, is nothing short of delusional.
[–]Mchooofer2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. Great point
[–]Inkfyuk0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
There is a copy of the book of Isaiah that dates back around 300bc, and there are very minor differences between it and what is in a modern KJV bible, like the difference between a cedar tree, and an ezra tree(tree with pins or needles).
[–]shema_echad20 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Isaiah didn't speak English, you mean the Masoretic Text. And the Christian Bible is evidently not a trustworthy compilation, and Christianity most certainly not a trustworthy religion.
[–]Inkfyuk0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It was a collection of characters that for all practical purposes mirrors the book of Isaiah as written in the modern KJV bible. Which shows that the text that the book of Isaiah is drawn from hasn't changed. Can't you just let people explain things in terms most people will easily understand, instead of trying to sound like an elitist.
No, it mirrors the Masoretic text the KJV is translated from. And it's not about elitism, it's about using a precise and accurate language. That's especially important when dealing with Christianity.
[–]Mictilacante2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I will never understand those that go their own way and still believe in this fairy tale.
[–]Inkfyuk1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I will never understand people who claim to be given to logic and believe something can be created and organized by nothing.
[–]Mictilacante1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The fallacy of belief is that your something is the something. When an objective impartial study of the word couldn't possibly yield the logical outcome that its true unless it was wanted to be true.
Take out the name of Jesus and replace it with any other name and the story becomes rediculous.
I have an imaginary friend, I'm clinical. 50 of us have imaginary friends were all clinical. 50 of us have the same imaginary friend and it's religion.

"Now to the unmarried and widows I say this: It is good for them to remain unmarried, as I am."
Jesus Christ.
[–]cncdanb0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No not Jesus, Paul. Quotes from Jesus only appear in the four Gospels.
[–]Inkfyuk0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And revelations
No fucking way he said that lol . Gotta check that out
[–]Inkfyuk3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That was Paul, however he did say it is better not to marry but not all can accept this.
[–]Snakerspug0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Wait, Jesus really said that? Can you also explain it as im reading it correctly
Paul wrote that, however Jesus said if you marry a divorced woman you have committed adultery, then the disciples said, if that is so it is better to not marry, and Jesus said back to them, this is true but not all can accept this.
Hes the man then!
