Crap in Bond is nothing new (although not to the level of the next film). Remember Die Another Day (2002), the character Jinx (Halle Berry) was introduced to later get a spin off movie/s. Of course the interest in that died.

There have been multiple films with female spies as the main character (like Salt (2010) with Angelina Jolie). But it doesn't seen enough to women, they have a urge to ruin everything men have or enjoy.

Dame Judi Dench wasn't marketed as a diversity hire or first female M of bond series. She just showed up on screen and owned her role. That women has been the best thing to have happened to the franchisee. She's ballsy, fiesty and witty M. I'll be damned to see Janice Bond on screen.
