Yeah dude, I lost all of it. A friend said "you're in the best situation of your life now" or some bullshit. I spent a long time pissed off and self destructive, but now he was totally right. I bounced back and am happy with stuff I get to do and discover on my own.
You don't realize how brainwashed and conditioned we all are by society to buy into the whole marriage situation. Our whole economy is linked to get those bitches married, get that dudes money, buy shit on Amazon. There's a fucking Marriage Market industry and female group-think issue in this country.
The late Roman and British economies were the same way. Near the end they both were servicing women's interests, and the men were blindly social climbing so they could get enough "luxury" to prove he could marry and reproduce. And both of them crashed at that point.
Stop visualizing your retirement like those t.v. families. Go back to those interests and hobbies you would've followed had the Guidance Counselor not scared you into jumping on the treadmill.

I lost half of mine and am happier than I've been in years. It was just money and I'll make it back. What I'd given up in marriage was priceless: peace of mind; freedom; and, my sense of self-worth. I will never spend that sort of emotional capital again.
