Religion is a shield from the reality that we all die.

If you were a peasant during the middle ages and someone told you "Hey put up with all this shit until you die an old man at 32 and then you will be rewarded" you would grab at the chance.

Jesus Christ was not seen as a divine figure until 300+ after he died when that was seen as a way to control the masses.

Agnostic since it hasn’t been proven that a God/Gods doesn’t exist (though I believe the existence of a God/Gods is extremely unlikely).

Kinda sorta. In my younger days, when I was a BP cuck who favored liberalism, back when I was blind, dumb, and arrogant, I would have straight up said I was an atheist.

Now, it's not so much that I started believing or something, I'm just not so arrogant as to claim I understand the universe.

Nobody does. We dont know what the fuck life or even consciousness is. Our best guess is a bunch of random shit happened, to where elements came together out of nothing and over billions of years, formed organic creatures that have complex neurochemical interactions that make us "think".

That's about the gist of what we know. So no, I will no longer be arrogant enough to say atheist. I dont know what's out there.

For all I know, we're a simulation being played by a higher species.

As with pretty much all of my beliefs, after I grew older, more experienced, and gained more knowledge, I took a more humble and practical approach to my beliefs.

It's hard to be some frontlines idealist constantly preaching progressive ideas when you start to get older. You start to have the kind of experiences that teach you that you really dont know near as much as you might have thought, and you learn to take a back seat so that you can actually learn instead of just proclaiming to know everything.

And with time, you get more wisdom.

I'm not really a believer. If anything, I follow more buddhism or taoism. Philosophy over religion.

Whether or not, you believe the Bible, Transhumanism is coming. Machines with artificial intelligence, machine brain interfaces, sex robots, artificial wombs, and humans manipulating their DNA with a technology like CRISPR-CAS9. It's the start of current civilization downfall. Ancient people knew civilizations come and go, and they conveyed their thoughts through religious writings.

In My Younger years i already gave My parents (who are strictly Christian) an easy answer why i didnt believe.

Even If there is an overbeing somewhere in the universe or parallel Universe that created the earth. IT propably Just happend, there would be no Higher reason behind it, so it would make no sense to pray at it.

I also dont think logically that we are the only living Superior Race in the Galaxy.

Based on the Logical Law of the Excluded Middle, ultimate reality in its fundamental nature and metaphysics has to either be personal or impersonal. This means the only two possible realities are atheism or theism. Both are faith based because if one chooses to believe ultimate reality is more likely impersonal than personal they have a burden of proof just like the theist who believes ultimate reality is most likely personal. The fact that we have personal conscious beings in the universe points to the ultimate cause being personal in my opinion. There’s no reason or odds that an impersonal reality could have created personal beings. The odds are so infinitely slim of that having happened that, for intense and purposes, it may as well be impossible.
