That story really cheered me up. It’s really good to finally see someone listening to advice and not thinking all that is bullshxt and his wife is different and would not cheat or that she is a unicorn. Given he was not redpilled before that happened, I think he mastered it like a pro. Realizing that asking for an open relationship means basically she already was cheating. Despite the emotional negative impact all that for sure has on him he stayed rational and did not fall for her shxt. Would not be surprised if he had found the redpill when searching for how to handle that situation.

I know of a similar story, not as extreme, but a friend at an old job went through it. Although the soon-to-be-ex cried a hell of a lot more and begged, even going so far as to wait in the parking lot to publicly beg (and of course, make him seem like the villain). It's just not worth it.
