Everyone's living circumstances varies depending on where you live. For example if you're living in Socal, it's expensive to live alone even with a good income so having roommates is sometimes a fact of life. Now if this is more a question of male versus female roommates, then I think you already know what all of us think about that. I've had several female roommates prior to becoming MGTOW and I don't recommend it. Most of my female roommates were slobs throughout the entire house and rarely paid rent on time. I have had male roommates who were slobs also, but kept it to their rooms as is their right, but they always paid on time.

With another guy, sure. Im theory you could with a girl, much like you could rent an apartment to a girl.

The issue usually comes up that the girl suddenly wants socialism where you pay more rent for <reasons> so she can spend your resources instead of hers.

Protect your interests first. Roommates are neither good nor bad but the application of making sure your needs are met should come befofe anything else. Balance cheapness with betrayal of values. Balance being alone against being in constant company. Evaluate for yourself and make a decision, then live with the consequences good or bad. MGTOW advice is essentially live your best life.

As long as the roommate isn't a female, go for it if you like. Personally, I value my own space/privacy enough to pay a premium to live alone, but if that doesn't matter to you or economic realities dictate otherwise, by all means find a roommate.

And yes junior having a female "roommate/housemate" -- whether you realize it or not -- carries virtually ALL the same inherent risks that having a "live-in girlfriend" does... just because you're NOT "fucking" her doesn't eliminate that threat.

If & when it comes to having a MALE "roommate/housemate"... well much depends on the circumstances (are you co-leasing an apartment? are you sub-leasing a room to him? or do you OWN the house {i.e. you own outright, and or are the "title-holder" making the mortgage payments} and are just "renting a room"? In the last case I highly recommend that you have a written & both sign an "Agreement to rent a room in a private home" contract that includes "terms & conditions"; ideally you not only start with a boilerplate version of such, but also have a lawyer review it {and extra "house rules" provisions you may want to add*} for applicability & legality vs your own state & local laws/precedents: properly done such an agreement protects BOTH parties, you AND the "roommate," and should help keep things fairly "civil" and "clear-cut" {including the inevitable parting of ways}.)

* Keep in mind the instant YOUR place also becomes someone else's "residence"... well they have a tendency to "assume" that they can invite in "guests" -- ergo you can wake up some morning only to find some slutty bimbo making a mess, possibly having a "fit" in your kitchen, bathroom, etc (i.e. some DTF slut-hoe that your "roommate" picked up & brought home from the bar last night) -- you have to ask yourself whether you REALLY want to face THAT risk as well (basically handing over control of a significant threat to someone else, and their "less than wise" judgments of others).
