Long story short;
The whole thing actually is started by his wife cheating on him.
His employer was tapping his home phones and found out his wife was cheating on him. They told him and temporarily took him out of work at S4 (Area 51) because they didnβt want a guy with an unstable home life working at such a sensitive job. Thatβs when Bob decides to go public with his knowledge.

[β]firzosudra22 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
No material object can reach light speed, mass can only reach (theoretically) about 0.99 of light speed, and even then we have the complications of a travel at such tremendous speed (I mean, trained astronauts can barely withstand a 40.000 kph/25.000 mph travel, which is about 10.000x slower than the speed of light... not to mention the energy necessary to move an object at 0.99 of LS, it's completely inconceivable). If there are such advanced aliens out there, they probably use "shortcuts" (e.g.: wormholes) to be able to travel through space.
[β]thegentlebenbear0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Your conclusions are based on the limited knowledge that we possess. If you told a caveman we could reach the moon, they would just discount it as "magic."
[β]firzosudra21 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Well, cavemen didn't even know that the moon was in the outer space. There wasn't even an "outer space" notion, most people probably thought that the moon came from the farthest place on earth and was just a little above the clouds, still inside the "firmament", at its peak height. There are even myths about deities (e.g.: Artemis) and animals (e.g.: the moon rabbit) living in the moon and creatures being responsible for "taking" the moon from the sky (e.g.: a Native American's legend about a coyote who "tosses" the moon into a river each night). Not to mention the legends about people/creatures flying too close or even reaching the sun (e.g.: Icarus, Etana, Sampati, among others). So, it probably wasn't considered impossible by everyone, it was just seen as a very grueling task by non supernatural means (at bare minimum one would've to travel to the Earth's farthest bounds).
Our knowledge is limited, but it's already good enough to comprehend a good portion of the reality. There is a limit of speed that a living being and even a spacecraft can handle and the energy necessary to move an object at speeds close to LS would be gargantuan, far above Earth's capacity (not just in regard to our technology, but in regard to our resources too... the whole planet couldn't supply it).

Not that they are made out of something we cant touch, rather something we cant damage.
You would expect advanced aircraft to have some sort of missile radar that can identify incoming projectiles.

What? Are you talking about Roswells?
I have more to think about than these conspiracy theories.
But i also imagined in the past if the powers that be would not benefit from simulating all these conspiracy that there are others
I think there are none. We are the only. We are unique, and thats what the governments dont want humans to understand, that we are unique.
Because if there were others they would be here already because of the Fermi Paradox.
Humans are unique and there are no signs of inteligent life in the universe that we can see. There may be life, but no comparison to even our average animal life, in terms of inteligence.
[β]BrainBoy0001 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
The dimming of a star is a sign of an intelligent life outside of earth because it means that an advance civilization are building a large structure around their star to fully consume its energy, there's evidence of this and do you really think that were alone in this Massive fucking universe? Theres probably an intelligent lifeform out their that thinks that their alone like you do.
[β]TheLastMgtow0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thats interesting.
Ive done a quick research and found out that is not yet explained. But will be one day, just like all the phenonmenons we saw in the past that we attributed to some supernatural event.
Stars disappear and they appear again. What do you think about the Fermi Paradox?
I think we are either alone in the universe. Or we are part of a colonization project.
[β]zippityzops0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Where have you read about this dimming of stars theory? I'm genuinely asking so i can read about it.
[β]Teflon081911 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think there are none. We are the only.
We don't know how "rare" life is yet, because we've only ever found it on one planet. But there are countless species right here on Earth that we've yet to discover and we can actually explore their environments up close.
Even using the most conservative estimates, our universe contains something like 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets. I don't even know how to say that number. It is pure hubris to believe intelligent life only exists on Earth.
Odds are the first signs of alien life we (and any other race of aliens) detect will be their radio signals. Our radio signals have only extended out about ~200 light years from our solar system. 200 light years appears as a speck against the backdrop of our galaxy. Our galaxy is one of an estimated hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.
Suffice to say, if we were in a warehouse trying to determine if it was empty, then so far we've only explored approximately one one trillionth of a fraction of one of the electrons orbiting one of the atoms that makes up that warehouse.
[β]RealBiggly0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
To play devil's advocate though, "other life" is nowhere near the same thing as saying "intelligent life".
Consider the massive number of species on this planet right now, and consider further than something like 99% of all the species this planet has ever seen are extinct. Yet as far as we can see, we are the ONLY species that has developed intelligence to the point of actual technology, not just poking with a stick or unscrewing a lid.
Yes, octopuses, dolphins, crows and parrots, pretty smart - compared to a rock. Pretty damn dopey compared to a human 9 year old.
Point is, for most species most of the time, there's no great benefit to being smart. Intelligence is expensive to maintain and beyond some pretty basic instincts there's no real need for it. So yes it's extremely arrogant to presume we're the only life, but it's also rather optimistic to expect any of it to be smarter than a terrapin.
What if these are all lies to make us believe we are just an insignificant planet and an insignificant species, and the earth is actually flat and the center of the universe? Just kidding :).
Thanks for that number of planets. Maybe you are right. But what about the fermi paradox? Whats your take on that?

The tech has been going straight to private companies since WW2. It's not necessarily the gov't though they do provide security like when you have private laboratories on bases. Lots of people make lots of money on the security alone (NDAs, etc) and no one single space knows everything.
And they kill people all the time. The Nazis killed all 60 of their own scientists on Die Glocke project and partially the reason for mass extermination camps was killing slave labor once they finished building secret facilities.
These days though you can just threaten wealth and well being of people's families to get them to cooperate. Or in an extreme circumstance, plant child porn on their computer and do a raid. Child porn is a great excuse in most cases. They shut down an entire town around an observatory last September and used a cover story that the janitor had child porn.
Bob's telling the truth. Lots of people are telling the truth. Joe six pack doesn't wanna know about it. The aerospace and engineering contractors definitely don't want Joe six pack to know about it. Elected officials mostly don't know and can't do anything about it.

[β]U-94-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Actually wasn't a hit, I present something like that as common sense when you're a military operating secret projects.
But the source would be Igor Witkowski's book "The Truth About The Wonder Weapons" and Joseph Farrell's "Brotherhood of the Bell" which references the former heavily.
[β][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
That's not common sense. There are black ops projects today that compartmentalize heavily, and the techs don't get whacked. The Soviets did that to thier scientists when Stalin heard something he didn't like.
As I said, until I see actual proof, it's just another propaganda lie to demonize Germans, White's, and Men overall.
The only thing I heard regarding killing all of the workers was when He Genghis Khan's tomb was being built and when he was laid to rest.
[β]U-941 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't see it as demonization at all. If anything, advanced tech was confiscated and buried by the Allies. Then the Allied myth was spun about how they couldn't figure out atomic bombs but America could. I don't believe any of that. Lots of evidence nuclear weapons were being tested and even used by Germany on the Eastern front. German naval history is one of my hobbies and lots of squirrely stuff exists in the 'official narrative' about U-Boats at the end of the war.
I read through the American propaganda but in some cases, the lies come from Germany itself. Lots of giant holes in Doentiz' memoirs along with many others.
[β][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There's lots of holes in Admiral Byrd's stories as well. My main point here was that you can get advanced tech working with compartmentalizing things. Ben Rich in 'Skunk Works' laid it out pretty well, and that tactic has become quite useful in many organizations.
If anything, advanced tech was confiscated and buried by the Allies. Then the Allied myth was spun about how they couldn't figure out atomic bombs but America could.
Werner Heisenberg had quite a bit of stuff figured out, along with Plank, Bohr, Einstein and the rest. Most of Americans Manhattan project was German scientists anyway, or the runaway Jews. There was quite a debate as to which scientists were better, the German ones, or the ones America has 'commanderred'.
Lots of evidence nuclear weapons were being tested and even used by Germany on the Eastern front.
I would like to see some proof of this. Because there isn't that much, and much of Hitlers development in this area (nuclear) got curtailed quite a bit.
ne of my hobbies and lots of squirrely stuff exists in the 'official narrative' about U-Boats at the end of the war.
Those fuckers made it to Antarctica, and either are still there with a whole new society setup, or we are going into 'Hollow Earth' theory, and I will stop the conversation here. Either way, I have no doubts quite a few German U-boats made it to Antarctica. Also, according to some FBI notes, Adolf died in Argentina. Not in Germany during the war. But after.
I don't see it as demonization at all.
My point behind this is that pretty much, since Obama was elected, and now Trump won, that American society has gone off it's rockers and the rest of the world has had over half a century to resolve any issues with 'ye olde Third Reich'. Any use of the term 'Nazi', especially when used against White's is NOTHING more than a direct demonization and racial attack. I am in my 40's. NOTHING like this crap existed over the last few decades, going all the way back to the 70's and 80's. ANYTHING at this point to do with Hitler/Nazi's/Holocaust/Alt-Right, etc. etc. is nothing more than a direct attack based on race and sex.
[β]StayClassySD1-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Pretty naive of you to assume no one is getting "whacked" in today's black ops/black budget projects.

I think that all UFOs stories and videos are bullshit too until the US government released a UFO video, but I wouldn't put much thought in it and become a UFO enthusiast, but its interesting to think about technologically advanced intelligent lifeforms secretely observing us.
I understand your apprehension, but honestly - do you think the gov't would tell citizens that such things exist?
