What blows my mind and what I still can't comprehend is why she didn't want me or my siblings to have some of my Dad's things. It wasn't like she was in financial hot water, my Dad was fairly well off and when his health started declining he had me manage his finances. My stepmom can live very comfortably for the rest of her life. Why would she gift his things to her children, but not even let me have Dad's old logging coat? I just don't get it.

You try to apply reason and logic to her behaviour. Of course that doesn't work. You need to apply emotion. She's an evil bitch trying to hurt you, what part of that is hard to understand?

3 days before Christmas, my girlfriend decides to leave me after 5 years together.

These two incidents back-to-back push me to MGTOW. Honestly, I used to think MGTOW was a bunch of men who couldn't get laid to save their life or manage a long term relationship. I'm starting to think my original impression might be wrong.

As a middle aged man abused by his mother, stepmother and wife: yup, your original impressions were wrong. Be happy they you can learn from others mistakes. Do not trust them. Ever, ever. Always maintain distance. They have the power over you to make you blind, never forget that. Your stepmom and gf just demonstrated that. Thank them, and never repeat this mistake.

Damn. That hits me personally. I’m sorry that you had to find out the hard way like the rest of us bro. I can relate to hitting my rock bottom about 2 years ago, so I understand (although I have no idea on how it feels to lose both parents).

I am a very volatile person. If any of the above happened to me there would be a lot of "missing" people. I have to remain single in order to stay off the 10 most wanted list.

My condolences...

As other's have said here, you have actually been handed a gift from your Ex and Stepmother, they have shown you the REAL way of the woman....and you got off relatively unscathed (no divorce rape, false accusations, child support without seeing your kids, etc.).

Use this to push you towards what you want in life, goals, new skills, financial security for YOU and no one else (unless you want too).

Remember two things also, you can be lonely in a relationship (look at video from Robin Williams the actor/comedian who said this and was divorce raped twice and living a lonely life with his third evil bitch wife....why he decided to go thru hell 3x's is another story) so don't ever think you have to get married or be in a relationship, and second you can experience a full life and bang chicks by traveling the world and sleeping with many different woman if you choose too (or you can just go Monk too)....just don't EVER fall in love with a foreign woman and bring them back or you will really be in a world of hurt (when she leaves you to go back, sues for alimony, takes your kids, etc.).

I would also recommend coming back here more often just to BS and shoot the shit with fellow MGTOW's so you can keep your head on straight and know you aren't alone in your pursuit as you might need the support from time to time and not feel like you are the only one doing what you do.

She doesn't give a damn about your past deeds. "it's what have you done for me lately." Also many of them somehow "equate" sex as "an adequate" form of compensation. So say that you did her a huge favor, in her mind if she fucks you then that's the compensation (it doesn't matter if she's your gf/wife). It doesn't matter that she also gets pleasure from the sex as well.

A combination of reasons: 1. women can never have enough, they always want more than they are getting, 2. disdain for your dad because she saw him as a provider and not someone exciting from her past, 3. selfish need to feed her kids prefferably out of someone elses pockets (your dads) even though she has enough money (why spend hers when she can spend his + yours), 4. Satisfaction in raising hell, sewing chaos in your family, 5. Petty need of females to bleed a man dry, then jump on to the next willing victim. Combine all 5 reasons and you got yourself a true "lady"

You can listen to Tom Leykis radio shows on youtube, and you will find answers why you should never help females advance out of your own pocket. You should never save a woman, or advance her. If she can't advance herself, leave her alone. I don't have much in the way of encouragement other than letting you know I read what you wrote and I sympathize and empathize with you.

Unless they are alpha widows who can't get over a specific ex women generally don't care about context or history and are only interested in how they feel in a small window relating to the present.

I'm sorry this has manifested in your life in such a garbage and visceral way. A lot of us carry that feeling of being discarded over minutia as well. It eventually makes you cold and indifferent to what women want.
