Honestly, the vast overwhelming eras of human history have been frought with horrors we can barely comprehend in our modern age. Once I let go of all the "what ifs" and started looking FORWARD to life instead of back towards "what if", I have never been happier.

We always think that we could do better on a second try.

And that second try is likely to wind up with double the disappointment.

I mean- we can’t even make a perfect 2nd try at a tough spot in a video game. How could life itself be an easier proposition?

Sure, we could be richer. You know- invest in bitcoin when it was still worth pennies.

But being that rich would unleash a whole slew of problems that are all unknown, unforeseen, and ill-prepared for..... with their own regrets afterwards.

Women get stuck in the past. And men are more able to move forward. Never forget that.

The past is already lived and you should keep your memories of it, but not try to change anything because is not posible as Marcus Aurelius said, just live the present and dont bother on past neither future, but i am curious in what will happend in the future with the relationships, may men a women told me that all relationships will be open relationships, i will like to see how it works and if they will work or just will be the match to start the fire in our society.

Damn, good question. I was a teen in the 90's and it was the best time of my life (besides school). Great music all around and it was cheap to go to concerts! I have a shoebox full of concerts/events I went to as a teen. Grunge and metal ruled the day mixed in with some rap metal and triphop (Portishead if you were a stoner).

A life of no worries, dating multiple girls with no commitment or metoo bullshit. Women were in their prime and not bitchy from being beat down in life.

Ditched a week of high school with my friends to go to southern California and work our way up north, hitting all the beaches. We slept out on beaches with bonfires and local surfers (is that even allowed anymore?).

Met some young 16 year old surfer (I was also 16 at the time). She would get high with us on the beach and and tell us cool stories. Her and I would make love every chance we got. We were teenagers so we both knew it was just a fling with no responsibilities or commitment. She even joined us on our trip. I miss surfer chicks....

Anyway, we finished the Cali tour by catching a RHCP concert. I think it was their one hot minute album tour (she wanted to go but all my friends had a blast) and went home.

My parents took my car, all my money, I was grounded until I was 18, I had to see a therapist and they even threatened to kick me out of the house. My parents and I are very close but to this day I do not bring up that week to them. I was expelled from high school for the rest of that year and it was rough after that. My parents still do not find it funny or even a worthwhile thing to do.

Still, I would not change a thing about that week. It was the best week of my life. Ferris Bueller was right: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it."

There is so much more to life than school and working. The experiences I had at 16 got me through many turbulent times. I feel sorry for the kids nowadays, they are so controlled and not allowed to live life. Most people only know (and experience) school and work.

Life is too damn short, I fell asleep at age 16 and woke up in my 30's.

Note: I am not saying school and work are trivial pursuits. You need both and I highly recommend working hard. What I am saying is living life without actually experiencing it is depressing.

You need to balance your responsibilities (school/work) with living life.
