Relationships with women (99.9%) mean you are going to have to spend time, energy, and money, and you will have 500 obligations to her that you probably haven't thought about.

Most men don't realize what's truly involved with relationsihps until they are in one, and it's like peeling a onion.

Every day, something new comes up that you are obligated to be involved with and compromise, and invest time, energy, and money to maintain the LTR.

IMHO, one of the worst aspects of LTR's is that many women want, and expect their guy to be the cornerstone of their emotional and psychic well being. Women should be relying on girl friends or female relatives for most of that

The odds of finding someone you can tolerate being around every single day for several hours? Who also doesn’t get fat and ugly after 5 years, who also isn’t a hundred other bad characteristics. Good luck. Seems better to focus on friends, work, fun.

Because women are a shit deal and they know it.

Dealing with them is hard, mystifying, stupefying, confusing at times, and terrible at others times, and then twice a month, it's awesome.

HERE'S WHY: Women, ain't shit. So they depend on scarcity (in your mind) and the HYPE man (all their parlor tricks) to make you think you a struggling and working hard to buy a Ferrari when you are really tricked into OVERPAYING for a 1986 Buick frame with a Ferrari kit car body.

And they have the audacity to not even match up, or polish the frame, so something looks terribly fake/off about your car, but you so happy to finally be driving , you pay up and don't care.

The Eddie Murphy "cracker in the desert" theory. Women are so shit, that they have to be down-to-earth/nice, or human only twice a month or you would realize that SHE IS NOT UP TO YOUR STANDARDS and doesn't fuction well as a straight up , honest, useful, helpful human being.

If you went to a gourmet restaurant (the best you could afford) and you sat down and ordered the best food and all I gave you was a ritz cracker on a white plate and charged you$400, you'd walk the fuck out and refuse to pay because "those fucking crackers" are available at a cost of $2 for a box of 200. BUT If you were starving in a desert, and I offered you a ritz cracker. You would think it's the best meal in the world. You'd even pay me $800, Because you were STARVING.

That's what women do. THEY STARVE YOU OUT of affection, being nice, good attitudes, common sense, loyalty,etc , that when they DO do those things, YOU are as grateful as a starving man in a dessert, and you never stop to realize

you deserve better and are worth it. 2. And that they come 200 to a box (meaning they are not special and they are a lot of them).

Why is dating so much work?

Because women hold more power in the dating market.
The dating market, is for men mostly a market where they hope to get sex.
The dating market, is for women a market where they hope to get sex with really attractive looking man/men.
Or to find men that will give them providings, resources, money, gifts, free..., commitment, commited relationship, etc..

Supply - demand, in The dating market is. It all has to do with whom holds the power, overall.

Sex
Alot of men wanting alot of sex; so alot of demand for sex from men.
Women wanting only "quick" sex with attractive looking men; so less supply of sex by women then the demand for sex.
Hence women hold the power in dating, innitially. Hence dating is more work/expensive/etc. for men, because women are in the powerfull position.

Commitment
Alot of women want commitment and providings; so alot of demand for resources/beta buck from women.
Men don't need/want commitment or only with attractive looking women; so less supply of commitment and providings by men then the demand for it.
Hence men hold the power when it comes to commited relationships, innitially. Hence getting commitment is more work for women often.

Overall.
Women will play out their power position in the dating(sex) market; to only handing that out in return for commited relationship (commitment and providings). because they are in a weaker position in the commited relationship market.

For you personally.
I see that you get casted or the commitment relationship. So they cast you for the position of beta bucks. Which must mean you are not attractive looking enough, that they want to have sex with you just for the sake of sex.

It's so much work because the "conquest" is a person who is trying to maximally extract resources from you and transact their holes for additional resources, but you still have to "earn" that.

It's like having to beat a used car salesman doing pushups so you can finance a clunker off the lot.

Yes it's work and.. there are a few reasons, off the top of my head:

men and women have different personalities, outlook in life, and worldview on what's expected of themselves and from the other partner
women LOVE drama, and if there's no drama, they will create drama. They just feed off it, and they can't get enough
women believe in "signs", they give signs and expect that men read these signs (aka: be mind readers)
women believe in "signs" part II. they will "interprest" what people do and / or say. Oh you gave a birthday present to your niece? It means that you're ready for a relationship, and since we've been dating, I am now waiting for you to propose.
men are expected to initiate anything, do everything' and the woman gets the veto power and to judge quality/quantity of effort
then there's the "equality" thing, meaning that a man should pay for the dates etc....

Yes, it's a lot of work!
