Before any blue pillers come here talking about unconditional love, every red piller absolutely NEEDS to understand this, it is vitally important in relationships.

NEVER expect anybody to love you unconditionally or even forgivingly, that is not how the human brain works. If you do not try to please the person who you want love from, you will not get it, it's simple as that. And nobody is special, none of your relationships with somebody are special in that regard. No matter how good of a spot you are at any current time, it can all fall apart in a short period of time if you mess it up, so don't get too comfortable.

Not even your mother loves you unconditionally, she loves you forgivingly, but not unconditionally. And not even a dog loves you unconditionally - if you stop feeding it or spending time with it, it will stop caring about you.

There is no such thing as unconditional love, and you always have to remember that you have to give to recieve. It is easy to get too comfortable when things are going well, but it won't last if you stop giving.
