Well it is no fiction that throughout history women and children have always been regarded higher than men. The lives of men has been always expendable. Women have been protected throughout time from the cave men era and even today and this is the result of this. Arrogant, ungrateful and privileged women.

For literally since the beginning of humanity, women's lives have always taken precedence over men's lives, while men are basically expendable, whether it is how men are the ones killed in war, men are the ones who do the most dangerous jobs, men are the ones who are first in/last out in a sinking ship or burning building, etc.

Speaking of Titanic, Colttaine had a very interesting video regarding why the Titanic movie did so ridiculously well, here. Long watch, as are all of Colttaine videos, but amazing breakdown. For those who haven't watched it or lack the time, I'll paraphrase it as best as I can since it was a couple months since I watched it... basically it's because it taps into the very primal nature of women and what they want. Women want a man that is so head over heels for them that he'll literally do anything for them, and no sacrifice is greater than giving one's own life.

the most appalling difference is how few of the third class lived. Seems like we are classist above all else. Titanic is a monument to mans hubris.
