When I was first married, my ex and I moved out west for a year when we relocated for my job. When we headed back, we sold as much stuff as possible so we wouldn’t need such a massive truck to move back east. That was 14 years ago this month.

Until today, that was the last time I had a surround system.

Even after we got a new television some 4 years later, audio was a piece she never allowed me to buy unless it was out of my measly “allowance”. However, there was always something coming up and I could never quite afford one responsibly.

That is until yesterday, after being divorced for 4 years, and having saved up some coin. Even then, I stumbled into Best Buy to contemplate where I would start with a sound system.

Ended up getting a Marantz 1608 7.2 AVR, and paired it with a Definitive Technology Pro600 Cinema bundle. Got the floor model AVR for $225 (pre-clearance list $749), and the speakers for $499 (on sale from $899).

MGTOW has afforded me the ability to take advantage of the opportunity and snag a huge upgrade for just over half the cost.

Looks gadgety. Happy for you. Fell into the hardware hoarding hole recently myself. Incomparably better than a femoverlordwannabe-esse. Also ~~more~~ useful.
