Was single for 20 years (very happy living with my Golden Retrievers!) and started dating a woman this year. She's truly a nice lady, but ... we weren't able to go out for Valentine's Day, and she was coming over to my place after work, so I bought her a dozen roses, went to the grocery store, cooked a special dinner with only the foods she could eat, did a bunch of other stuff to make it a special evening for her, and afterwards she left quickly without saying thank you or really giving me a kiss. I asked her about it and she was truly sorry and said she was worried about driving home and falling asleep at the wheel as it was getting late and she was starting to nod off. (Which I believe.) She did make an effort to show appreciation for things I did for her after that, but I still always felt like I was doing a lot for her that wasn't being appreciated or reciprocated.

When I broke up with her after 3 months or so, I mentioned it wasn't working for me and she must have felt similar feelings. Her response was that she had felt me pulling away ever since Valentine's Day. Oh, really?

There were a lot of other issues, but it all convinced me that MGTOW is the way for me. Thanks for being her to remind me!
