Because they never read or even heard it... at best they may have slightly heard OF it (but then likely only via the almost entirely altered/adulterated Broadway/Hollywood versions like "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" or other comical/cartoonish "musical" versions derived from them.)

So called "modern" entirely secular (socialist-feminist-atheist) education not only does not teach such "religious" text stories; it is entirely hostile to their very existence, and seeks to indoctrinate ALL students with a "thought stopping" mentality that is both ignorant of, and also "hand wave" dismissive/derogatory and therefore utterly "blind & deaf" to them (i.e. the mentality that says those are just "fairy-tale myths" etc.)

(See, it isn't just that they dismiss the "theology" of longs standing works like the Bible; it's that they've been brainwashed into a REFLEX action of literally "throwing the baby out with the bath water" -- they just automatically dismiss/denigrate ALL of it as "fiction/myth" {i.e. wrong} -- which in this case means that the story of Joseph & Potiphar's wife {if they even DO become aware of it} is utterly useless & unconvincing to them as "evidence" of women lying about rape, and instead it is just more "proof" of historically oppressive patriarchal misogyny. It’s sad. I had a girl manipulate me into staying after telling me she was raped by her ex boyfriend. I honestly felt so sorry for her.. and felt like a ‘savior’.
