According to FBI stats, about 5% of rape allegations are proved to be false, only a slightly higher number proved in court to be true, and the vast majority can not be proved either way.

And even some of the convictions are overturned later when new evidence appears, or new technology (like DNA).

In North Carolina some years ago it was revealed that a state lab was falsifying lab results specifically to support convictions.

There is NO reason whatsoever to treat accusers like victims and the accused like criminals BEFORE he and she have had their day in court, and even then, you could be wrong.
