MeToo is the perfect name because it’s exactly what these women are saying. They want their 15 minutes of fame, attention and sympathy for shit that either never happened or is wildly embellished (“Ugly guy said Hi to me” turns into sexual assault).

“I was raped 5 years ago” (Chad ghosted me)”

“Me too, I was raped too!” (Didn’t get the job even though I blew my boss in the parking lot where I initiated everything)

“Me too!” (Nothing ever happened to me but I’m bored and feel neglected so I want attention. Time to make shit up)

If there's a silver lining to this cloud, it's this; #MeToo cannot last. There are no brakes on this train and #MeToo has gone from accusing men for personal gain, *to accusing men in order to fuck with the appointment of Supreme Court judge*. This is now being used as a weapon to influence the political direction of the country, and it's working! Kavanagh is done there is zero chance of him being appointed now. It wouldn't surprise me if Trump is impeached over a false allegation.

What we are seeing is the destruction of western jurisprudence and political philosophy, which are the very things that gave women their rights in the first place. The law was set up to protect the citizens, half of whom are women, but they have weaponised, undermined and abused the law to reduce the police from investigators to palace guards. Peak #MeToo will be the death of western law one is the negation of the other. One rises the other necessarily falls.

What I'm saying, not very well, is that #MeToo is brandishing the law (prohibitions against sexual crimes) while simultaneously undermining it (no due process) this fundamental contradiction is unstable. Ultimately, they will be the biggest losers.

There's a "darkest before the dawn" feeling to this whole thing I can't help but think we're not far (couple of years) from some sort of capitulation followed by a reboot.

If I was Trump, I'd do something like this:.
"I understand there have been scores of women that have been sexually assaulted in the past. We want to bring justice to your assailants. We will be holding a 3 month disclosure period so all women that were assaulted in the past can come forward and we can bring your assailants to justice. After the disclosure period you will have to file claims with the appropriate authorities within the statutes of limitations for your area. I will also be strengthening systems that allow women to disclose sexual assault as well as the systems that prosecute for false accusations. There will be community outreach programs established to guide women on disclosure of sexual assault. With these measures I hope our country can bring these assailants to justice and move on from these attrocities.".
This would do several things.
1. Force all of this out onto the table at one time. No more prolonged MeToo movement.
2. It would no longer be acceptable to disclose without due process. No more guilty until proven innocent.
3. Trump would look like he gives a shit, when he actually doesn't.
Full disclosure, I hate Trump, but I'm kind of sick of MeToo being dragged out. I think something like this might end it.

I actually get the waiting for decades thing. Actual victims fear being shunned by family members especially if the shit that happened to them was from other extended family members.

I’m weary of this shit too though. I’ve heard more than few personal accounts of “revoked consent” from some cunts feeling left out and want to insert themselves into the metoo movement. I made the mistake of saying something at a party in the midst of more than a few women where one of these cunts was recounting a time when she got together with a boy in high school and then later decided she didn’t like the experience. I asked her “were you raped?” “Were you ok with what was going on at the time?” “Did you tell him to stop?” “Did he over power you” and to each and all she answered no yet these 30+ years later she’s expressing buyer’s regret at the unfortunate first time bumbling that she probably wouldn’t endure today. While in the early stages of the conversation I could tell I had the group around me on my side but too far into my questions the group turned on me and said that it wasn’t appropriate to question victims of sexual assault that hard. WHAT?!?! SEXUAL ASSAULT?!? I was suddenly worried for this guy and I knew him too from high school.

Behavior like this is destroying the actual victims. It’s selfish and self-serving. Attention whores all want to be victims and there’s nothing better than being a special victim like a metoo person. I’m writing too much here but also at this party was a conversation amongst the women about testosterone being to blame for women being attacked. I said I have high testosterone for my age and I’ve never attacked a woman. I suggested that power may have more to do with these sexual assaults as even women teachers of late have been assaulting/raping their male students. Each situation has to do with being in a position of power. I had been drinking so I also told them to be ashamed of themselves because they had sons and should refer to them as automatic attackers just because they have testosterone. Don’t think I’m getting invited to my normal Super Bowl party this year, oh well.
