My sister has been complaining about wanting to have a dog for years now (we have a rabbit and a guinea pig, but they're not as ''fun'' as a dog). We got a request from a friend back in 2016 if we could take care of his dog for 2 weeks since he was going on vacation. He owned a 13-year old Labrador with Arthritis, so he could walk only small distances at a time before needing to sit down and cath on his breath. For 2 weeks, everyone in the house took care of the dog except her. My mom fed the dog and gave him his arthritis medicine, and my brother and I took him out for a walk (3-5 times a day). But my sister refused to give the dog just a little bit of attention.

Some time after he got back to his owner I heard her complaining again about wanting to have a dog. I recalled the fact that we already had a dog for 2 weeks but that she didn't payed any attention to him during that time. The only argument she gave me was that the dog wasn't energetic enough and that she wanted a puppy.

I love my sister very much, but things like this just make me a bit annoyed.

The dog is probably spoiled rotten and has claimed the home. I say this because most dog moms do not know how to train their dogs well enough to be good dogs.

A female former co-worker had this same issue. She was constantly getting dogs in in 2 years time giving the dogs away. The dogs were wild and unable to handle a lack of attention or deal with their owners being away.

Females raise bad kids and dogs alike.

My dog was 20 years old, had trouble walking, and I had to support him while bathing.

I made sure his meat was nice and tender, and gave him a clean bed every night.

There is no fucking way in hell I would ever have given him up.

And I would probably give my right arm to have him back.

This reminds me of some woman I know. Her 8 years old cat died last week and two days later she was all excited talking about her new kitten.

Meanwhile, I lost my 12 years old cat almost one year ago and I haven't fully recovered from that emotional blow.
