Some people don't learn because they've never had the chance to see it clearly.

My eyes were opened when I started hanging out with a party crowd in college. For a year or so I went out to clubs and bars with the same group of people and I was shocked at what I saw.

I watched (figuratively) Stacy cheat on her boyfriend with Chad. I watched Stacy make out with Chad behind her boyfriends back when he was down the street at another bar. I watched Stacy start a fight with her boyfriend to justify her hooking up with a random stranger. It quite honestly blew my mind and it made me realize that no one is really trustworthy in a relationship.

The scariest part is how oblivious the other person always was. Everyone they considered "friends" knew they were getting cheated on but said nothing. I think this is the part that made me learn.

One chap I went to school with was absolutely dead set on getting a girlfriend. We were in an all boys school with a girls school less than 300m away - but all lessons separated. We had good male teachers and role models and only a few actual fights occur in my 7 years there. Back to the story; after our group started talking to girls properly in ninth grade he was off. Throughout the next few years he asked out damn near every girl he knew or talked to - regardless of her character. His final tally was 0-26. I think he just really wanted to feel that some sort of companionship. He had a solid friendship group around him, decent family no glaring problems etc. I could never empathize with it.

A few questions: how comfortable is the person with uncertainty? how comfortable is the person with being proven wrong (for example, how do they react when a cherished belief is confronted with evidence or an argument?)? how does the person react to beliefs that they don't like versus ones they like?

If you hate uncertainty, thoughts that make bad feels, and admitting you were ever wrong, then you will have a hard time growing in life.

This is most people.

Because on the other side of the equation is a void: ”What am I and what is my purpose in life, if I am not looking for external validation?” These people are convinced that the meaning of life can be found inside woman's vagina. If you took that away from them, then what would they do? I don't mean to sound so demeaning, but humans can ascribe purpose and meaning to silly things. It's like how Sartre puts it; We are condemned to be free and cursed to find our meaning in life. Some people find that meaning in pretty silly things, objectively speaking. But perhaps that's better than nothing.

I'd throw my bets down that it's men who can't even take care of themselves and actually require a woman to cook/clean for them. Those kinds of men will always get taken advantage of, over and over again.
