That's the big difference between men and women. Women care about things you have no control over as it's all about genetics like height, bone structure, and hair. Men tend to care about things women can control like weight, personality, number of sexual partners, etc.

I get how it seems that way to young men, but have you ever thought that your perspective as a man plays a big role in this, rather than it being a social norm?

I know plenty of women who have been SHAT ON and I mean publicly SHAT ON for stating that they like a certain guy, or look, while the SAME exact guys go out and call a woman ugly. If you criticize a look or state that you have a preference for another one in the presence of the opposite gender, all of hell breaks loose.

I actually don't get this. Any fat girl who thinks she stands a chance with an 8 or above is bonkers. She's gotta have one hell of a personality to make that work. You don't need to tell anyone that you prefer slim girls, that's fucking obvious. No one prefers fat girls, not a single fucking person prefers fat girls. What men prefer is validation, attention, support, respect, effort, and investment. I can see how someone might associate fat with integrity, but for me it's not there. Fat girls are like already chewed bubblegum.
