Aside from "Don't be a pussy", is there any way to get over how uncomfortable it is to learn this stuff? My worldview is being shifted drastically and it is really... mentally painful. But I want it. What motivates you to keep reading, keep learning?

once you connect some of the ideas with real life experiences, it will become more and more easy to swallow.

you can't help the way you were raised, and what you were taught, but you can choose what to think moving forward. realize that most of the people who raised you weren't acting maliciously when they fed you full of shit, but really believed what they were teaching you.

just learn as much as you can through real experiences, read the key manosphere blogs and find the ones that speak to you personally the most.

its not so bad once you get it.

I posted this is another thread but it makes sense here as well:

TRP crushes most peoples worldview and their ego. Upon realizing just how wrong they have been and how much work lies ahead, some of them don't have the heart to make the changes necessary.

I would imagine it's similar to a fat person getting on the scale and seeing 300 pounds for the first time. It's either gonna be extremely motivating or extremely discouraging depending on the heart of the individual who is finally seeing the truth of their situation.

So the question is, are you motivated or are you ready to give up?

Don't think of it like:

"Oh, well I guess girls act this way because this blog says so? They respond to dominance because this one guy online said it? Why does this guy say I can't use a smiley face while texting?

It's more like:

"This blog said X, now let's go out and see if girls in the real world actually respond to X. Oh, they do? Guess that's confirmed. That guy said try doing Z while out with a girl, I tried it and got better results, wow I guess Z does work."

You want motivation? Once you start applying the theories to your own life and start seeing positive results, you'll have all the motivation you'll need.

The red pill has turned me from an agnostic-theist to a... hedonistic nihilist of sorts. Pretty much done the transition now and it feels rather good. Im still a "good" person by many metrics but I now I feel an odd sort of peace with the universe and a renewed drive to succeed at all costs.

You come to the realization that most of the stuff you're learning isn't to cause you pain, but it's to prevent pain.

The pain of future infidelity while you've been monogamous in marriage.

The pain of finding out your children aren't yours.

The pain of having to work your job and have 50% of your pay taken away for alimony/child support.

But it also allows you to freely enjoy things:

To freely enjoy what you have been evolved to enjoy (i.e. sex)

To freely enjoy your freedom to pursue your career

To freely enjoy that you can put yourself first

To freely enjoy loving yourself over anyone else, and with that improve your self-esteem.

I was always very red pill whatever that means.

It's easier to be emotionally detached when you're in a quest for knowledge, waiting a moment before you interpret and investigate before taking things at face value.

If you're not used to it and micro focussed, I guess it can be unsettling at first.

You also have to learn how to deal with your emotions in a constructive manner and strive towards self mastery.

All emotions are temporary even pleasurable ones, so accept all of them unconditionally for what they are but don't let them take complete control over you.

If you look passed whatever pain you may be experiencing during a moment and keep in mind the reward or goals you're well on your way.

For me it's mostly a matter of refining my knowledge and the possibility of having access to the collective wisdom that keeps me here.

I want you to gain the knowledge so there's a chance you can become the master and teach me something I didn't know.

It's a bit like open sourced software. We can be competing while contributing to the same code base because it allows both of us to make better products in the end.

It is funny, I never really went through this phase for TRP. The closest I can relate to it is when I accepted that I was an Atheist. I went through a long phase where I was obsessed with religious arguments, debunking religious arguments, evolution, especially evolution. That experience is directly analogous with the experience RP people have with talking to feminists. Except feminist ideas seem even more ubiquitius (and way more subversive) in our culture if possible.

I don't think I was ever really too blue pill mostly because I was too stubborn and aggressive to take shit off of anyone. Fitting into social cliques or whatever just didn't interest me. Without conformity there really isn't blue pill. Of course i wasn't specifically red pill either, I just didn't knwo what I was doing. I sort of slowly, haphazardly, and inadvertently got introduced to red pill ideas when in college so there was never a big transition for me on this subject like there was for atheism. I didn't even know "red pill" until about a few months ago. Of course I was very red pill before (knew a lot of MRA stuff etc) without really knowing what that was.

Motivation is a really interesting thing when applied to any aspect in our lives.

For me I read this stuff and it strike interest and I WANT to know more. A lot of this behavior is something we are all familiar with.

So which side of the line do you want to fall on?

Even if you want to be beta (cringe), you still might want to educate yourself.

Even if you are in a bad place or a bad person, you can becvome great with a little effort and the occasional haranguing.

I don't know if you play any instruments, but the first time you pick up a guitar you are guaranteed to sound like shit. You won't like it. Play the same song one hundred times though and you will actually sound really good. It will be natural. You will understand the beautiful music.

Red pill is a lot like that. You'll just learn to understand that this is how it is. Its not easy at first, but you will quickly become the master of your own destiny.

I find physical peace at the gym and spiritual peace in the cathedral. I believe Christianity is one of those things that represent something great that builds strong societies and it is the most effective weapon we have against feminism.

Well I was a reactionary conservative and a general misanthropic asshole even before discovering TRP, so I guess it is easier for me, but. At the base level it is like this for me:

I always enjoyed a good power trip, the feeling of dominance. But before I thought it is immoral. Having realized that women love men who are like this was a liberation. If men love to do this and women love men who love to do this, why is it immoral when it makes people happy? We just have to make sure nobody gets hurt too much.

This is the essence of red pill.

I don't really believe most of the harsher, "black pill", "all women are immoral" stuff here. I think bad female behavior is more like the bad combination of not being the right man for her, living in a toxic age and culture, choosing the wrong woman, giving girls the wrong upbringing and so on. But I don't think there is anything innately immoral about women, except their desire for men who emanate power, but that is not immoral. You could say that in this sense I tend to be on the more optimistic side of the community.

If you've started reading TRP material it might help you to read how some PUA's got into this. Although it won't help you with your technique Roosh's Deadbat in Paraguay is a good read that's accessible to anyone and I can personally recommend it. His second book in the same vein: 'Why can't I use a smiley face' is how you'll probably feel after a few years or so of swallowing the pill and making it work.

The fact that what I try hasn't worked. Of course, my female friends will tell me that those girls are 'stupid' or 'immature'. I honestly thought that was true up until a few months ago.

Reading TRP has finally allowed me to see the patterns in behaviour of women, which has really opened up quite a lot of doors for me in my head. To see the Hamster at work is quite hilarious, and to goad it, even more so. It's a pity I picked this up when my Uni is on summer break, just because there are very few people in the town now, and I have stick to doing my Masters.

You really need to have a sort of skeptical worldview. Not only of this but of your old indoctrinated/inculcated worldview. Read the scientific parts of things, especially about human biology and how that affects most everything including the motivations of the sexes. Put things to the test with both your old worldview and what you're reading here in various situations, find out which you think is more likely given the evidence of the situation; What best explains the phenomena you are seeing?

It's best to learn from the pain of others if you can help it. Look at other people's marriages and relationships and what happens in those as well. You don't want to be the guy living in a car or studio apartment subsidizing an ex-wife who had someone else's bastard children for example.
