I'm 35, undecided on if I want kids or not and figure I need to choose one way or another. Sometimes when I'm out and about and see other men with their kids I think I want that, a mini-me to shape, and my genetic legacy to continue. Other times I look at all the free time I have and think why would I want to give that up? Especially as I have nephews and nieces.

Additionally, I am in a relationship with someone who earns considerably more than I do, so she could afford to raise kids alone if I left. I also don't think I'll live to reach 50 due to deteriorating health issues and have no interest in marriage, which makes me far more selfish with my time, but also more aware that life is ending: I've had several incidents this year alone.

Looking at child support calculators for my country I can afford two kids comfortably, even if I decide I don't like them and want no contact (and so have to pay more), and as I grew up in a single parent household I have no moral problem with this at all.

My question for those with kids is do you regret it, and for those without, have you had a vasectomy yet or are you still open to the idea?
